It WORKS! Bonus: amazing customer service!
We couldn’t be happier with this purchase! Not only is this the only product that actually works to keep my very, very stubborn and elderly Belgian Malinois’ nails short, but it keeps her brain active while she eats! I’m so grateful for finding this amazing feeder toy. Highly recommend!Side note - I put the whole thing in the dishwasher cuz it got pretty gross after a while. The clear plastic lid is NOT dishwasher safe, but the rest is! When I reached out to customer service to see if I could buy another lid, they sent me another for FREE, along with a bunch more accessories. Very kind, responsive customer service…they went above and beyond. We are all quite pleased! ❤️🐕

Going Well, Optional Suction Cups and Replacement Parts Included are Great
Have a smallish ~25lb dog and this is working pretty well so far. I am really impressed with the additional pieces included with this item, the options suction cup pads that you can add really stick well (again 25lb dog though I swear he's super strong!) on a hard surface floor, dog can be scratching away and it doesn't budge. I also like that an extra "lid" for the nose troughs was included, yes your dog should be supervised when using this, but sometimes you look away for a bit and they might start going to town pulling on one of the trough lids so having an extra replacement included is very thoughtful. Also the directions for how to introduce this to your dog are very good, suggest reading / following them.Again though suction cup attachment + extra lid is pretty darn awesome this day in age, props to the people who made the call to spend a little more to include these extras out of the box.

My dog really loves his.
My dog figured out how to just press it to get the food. His nails don't get filed down at all but he LOVES this. He insists on all his meals be from this. It was a training error on my part. I'll trim his nails another way and let him enjoy his puzzle.

It'll probably work for others
Hard to get the clear top on correctly and 7 month old puppy is chewing the flaps. He's finally scratching the top a little.

As marketed
Came in a timely manner. Nice easy to follow instructions. My dog will not use it at all, & does not like it. But that’s no fault of the manufacturer. I can see this lasting indefinitely for toys to minis, at least 2-3yrs for average weight depending on intensity of the dog. 1.5-2yrs with an Xl size.

Pack your patience
The media could not be loaded. 6 days and 12 meals in and sweet Matilda is finally scratching the sandpaper. She is still prompt dependent and is skittish when the feeder pops up and moves around, so for her, NOT an independent activity- but if this works I would much rather hold this down with my toes for 10 minutes than listen to her scream for hours over the fact that the nail trimmers are in the same room. She isn't the brightest crayon in the box, so we had to practice intermediate steps of giving me her paw and putting her paw on the feeder. I don't think she liked how her nails slid off the top without the sandpaper (step recommended in the instructions) because it was so slippery, so when I went ahead of adding the sandpaper without her completely mastering the feeder she had more confidence.

Not for quick learners
Good concept, but there’s a few things wrong with this, at least for my puppy. Got this when he was nearly 3 months old and he learned how to use it within 2 tries even with the nail filer. Problem #1 is, he quickly learned that he didn’t need to use his nails so now his pushes it with his paw pad and it’s been wearing on it. Problem #2 is, this is supposed to also act as a slow feeder but you can't adjust the amount of food that dispenses so he finished eating nearly 1 cup of food in 5 minutes. So I wouldn’t recommend this if you have a dog that’s very good at puzzles.

Great product for those dogs sensitive to nail trimming
This is a great product. We recently adopted a 3.5 yr old from a shelter. He would not let anyone near his nails so we gave this a shot. I worked with him during each step and gave plenty of time (weeks) before adding the nail file on top. My current struggle is getting him to use his other front paw 🐾. I welcome any suggestions on how to get him to alternate. I know with rescue animals they need extra time. One foot vs the other in photos after a week or two of using this product.
