QCAA Solid Brass Dutch Door Bolt, 4", Polished Brass, Made in Taiwan, 2 Pack

These locks were exactly what we needed to extend my reach to lock the doors. As well as modernizing the locks we previously had, this look great on the door too.

Took one of the pressure springs out to make easier to slide.Used it on a barn door on a bathroom.You can adjust where the mounting brackets go.I would leave both springs in for vertical installation.

Used this as a bolt to create a Dutch door. Reasonably easy installation and all hardware included. I was disappointed however, in the springs that are supposed to keep tension on the bolt. After just a couple of days they have fatigued and so the bolt will not stay up/open against gravity. It greatly increases the likelihood of someone closing the top of the door and damaging the bottom because the bolt is sticking out. Also the receiver plate is about 20% bigger than the bolt. The upside is its easier to install but the downside is it causes unnecessary play/slop between the upper and lower doors.

Better than I expected. It’s always hard to tell from the pictures and reviews. This is to secure an exterior what’re heater door which is exposed to periodic strong NE winds. Replaced a steel latch which rusts in our environment.

Very well made and nicely polished. Machining is perfect, no rough edges, no casting marks, just perfect. Great value for money. Made in Taiwan, a country that does great work. Highly recommended!

just what I ordered. I used it in a vertical position at the top of the interior door. the bolt was sliding down by itself due to its own weight. I removed the friction springs, bent them to have more camber and friction, and it seems the bolt is not sliding anymore.

I like the sturdiness of this bolt. Nice to get the two receiver choices. Would like to see longer heavier screws.

Screws would have been nice.

I ordered a few other "bolts" trying to add a pleasant lock on the inside of my front doorOther ones are literally paperweights and would not secure any door. Maybe they are meant for baby doors.This one is a nice solid piece, nice finish, comes with hardware to install different applications. Only item would be that the finish had a few small knicks on it but not very noticable.Update: after 2 months of daily use (it is installed on front door) the finish is starting to wear off. I still like the lock as in my door application the frame is hard to install another type of secondary lock which I like to have aside from the deadbolt. Would be better if more durable as I am sure in future it may wear more. Changed to 4 star instead of 5.

This lock is much smaller than it looks in the photo. It is not installed yet so I'll have update this review later.

These look so nice on my French doors. Unfortunately, one does not stay locked but slides down so is really useless as a lock.

Arrived very quickly and just what we wanted. Ideal for our double doors.
