I used two of these kits to string lights 96' of lights across my deck. The poles are attached to 4x4 posts originally using the supplied two-hole pipe clamps. The poles are 1" in diameter, and dependent on how high you choose to mount the lights, and the weight placed upon them the poles could slightly bend, and if there is enough force on the poles the provided pipe clams will allow some slip.The clamps are simply not up to the job when mounting the poles higher up with some weight on them, they deform when mounting them in with screws and my solution was to use some two-hole 1" pipe clamps with a rubber sleeve, and to use 2 1/2" decking screws instead of the provided screws that could barely deal with my powered driver.The upgraded hardware greatly helped in creating a more solid attachment versus using the supplied hardware. I could not imagine how durable this kit would be for my needs if I only used what was shipped.

The base on both poles broke when they were set up. Very cheaply made! We ended up having to bolt them to our block wall fence. We bought these specifically for the ability to move them around the yard and we’re not able to do that since they both broke.

The 10 foot polls are easy to put together and they look nice. The stakes do a great job of holding the polls in the ground. The problem is the weld between the stakes and the poll. This area is extremely delicate and 2 of mine broke during setup.

I was excited when I found these poles but they aren’t the best. They are very flimsy and the when I went to screw the pieces together one of them was stripped so it’s never secure. Not worth the money.

I purchased this set of light poles for use as backcountry camping lighting. First of all, it is really convenient to use, before you install it, it is divided into 4 sections, when you need to use it directly in the correct order to screw it together, so it is very convenient to carry, you can easily put it in the trunk of the car. It is then tall enough that it is 10 feet tall when all the accessories are connected, and can add or subtract accessories according to your needs. Plus, its base is so strong that when you use it in the wild, you can easily stick it into the soil without worrying about it tilting. Overall, this is perfectly adequate for outdoor lighting, and I recommend it if you also need such a tool.

Little irritated that I got two sets of poles with ground stakes, but am only able to use 1 pole. 1 set of poles is missing the threads to screw onto ground stakes, making it useless. If you're going to sell people a product, it better have all the proper items in the package.
