Artesà Wooden Log Slice Cheese Board, Serving Platter for Cakes, Desserts, Grazing and Buffets, 30cm (11.8''), Brown

Extremely poor quality! There is no way I'd ever serve food on this slice of dull, dry wood. Please don't be fooled by the photos very disappointing. What a waste of money!

I believe acacia is a hard wood but this is lightweight and seems a bit spongey. I can't see a varnished finish, I wouldn't put food straight onto because I don't think you could wash it. It is decorative and could be used to put other plates on top of. It does not feel strong, I suspect the bark will easily fall off.I expected a hard slice of wood taken from a tree trunk but this does not feel real, it feels like some sort of reconstituted product. Looks pretty but isn't at all what I expected. I wanted to paint on the surface but the paint would definitely bleed so I used pyrography instead.

This is as far from hardwood as you can get. The rings are at least 2cm apart, indicating a very fast-growing softwood, probably more ideal for Swedish flat pack furniture. There was no label, no real protection in the packaging and, once used it leaves stains of anything you put on it. Looking at other reviews, it would appear I got something that wasn't on a par with what others received. It's so lightweight is just shouts "cheap".

The seller made great efforts after the purchase to refund my purchase and provided great customer service when the product didn't meet my needs. Based on the Amazon website description and picture:Neither came with an elegant Artesà tag,The wood was not treated with a food-safe finish.It's not acacia hardwood but a softwood.I had ordered these previously and received exactly what was described. These are substantially different and from a different supplier. They are thicker slices and unfinished. They are a much lighter softwood and bland that does not have the the dark interior as the picture. They could be used to display food but I'd prefer them to be sealed before I would prepare food on them.

Love it for my cookie display and taking photos.

Parts of the wood were 14" as described, but others measured less than 12", so was a little disappointed. Obviously, with it being from a natural material, there will always be room for variation, but it did leave a wedding cake rather short of space.

Sturdy and very on trend. Loved the look of my cake on it.

Bought this to use in flat lay photos and it's lovely quality, considering the prices that I've seen other similar log boards go for. This looks exquisite in pictures and I imagine would make a great display or center piece- may actually use it as such because it looks so good. Couldn't recommend more.
