I'm new to the hobby, but wanted to swap out for crawl gears right away, but I also didn't want to loose TOO much speed (even though it's still super slow). It's a night and day difference when crawling. the slow control is exactly what I wanted. I don't believe it's water proof or resistant, but there's plenty of spray on options for waterproofing electronics. So far I've snapped a drift shaft and the front plastic diff gears.Had to order the injora metal diff gears and metal drive shafts to handle the low range torque, lmao.
