BOCCHI Sotto Dual-Mount Fireclay 18 in. Single Bowl Bar Sink with Protective Bottom Grid and Strainer in White

This sink is a great prep sink. It's a really good size. I added a bottle of beer for size reference. Just thought it may be helpful. Even though I obviously knew the measurements, for some reason I was picturing it smaller. I was really happy when I saw how roomy it actually is.

This is my kitchen island sink. It’s a beautiful sink that blends nicely with my quartz countertop.

The sink looks really nice, is sturdy and easy to clean. I would have given it five stars except that every little speck of dirt or grit shows up so I find myself cleaning more often. Everyone is impressed with how nicely it compliments my Bocchi farmhouse sink.

This 18” square white sink is measured edge to edge. The interior of the sink is actually about 15”x15”x8”We purchased this to use in a small custom laundry room, but it would also work great in a small kitchen, kitchen island, or a bar sink. This sink is HEAVY at over 37 lbs with no accessories, you will want very sturdy bracing to support the weight. The included drain assembly is heavy duty. My current kitchen sink is this deep and depth makes a huge difference for comfortably doing tasks. I’m very happy with this purchase and will update with photos once it’s installed. The packaging was exceptional on this product. It comes in a large box within a box with foam padding on all corners. The glazing is very thick and I’m confident this sink will outlast my lifetime.Note: the color white is slightly off-white. Fireclay sinks are heavy, thick and solid. They don't make much noise during use like stainless steel sinks. This one from BOCCHI is excellent. Although I have not heard of this brand before I can say that they have an excellent line of sinks and bath accessories.This 18" under-mount sink will fit in to a 21" or larger base cabinet. (the internal space of a base cabinet will usually be at least 1-1/2" less than the outer dimensions, which would be 19-1/2" on a 21"). You can use 3/4" 1x stock or 1-1/2" 2x stock for the bracing as the support lip on the sink is almost 2". 1x support stock will probably yield the best look from within the cabinet and take up less space under the sink. You will likely have the counter top installers also install the sink. I would make sure they are aware of BOCCHI's recommendations on supporting the sink. You can give them the instruction manual along with the sink for their templating process.The sink is heavy and and very much reminds me of older cast iron and porcelain sinks except that it is fireclay for which you won't have to worry about the enamel finish chipping, cracking or coming off. The fireclay is very strong and seems to be able to take the abuse of heavy pots and daily use. The inside corners have a slight radius to them for easy cleaning. If you are looking for a quality fireclay sink with a European design and feel then BOCCHI is certainly a good option to consider. I am impressed by the quality and beauty of this sink. 5 stars.

We are building a small side bar off our kitchen to drop this sink into. It’s a small sink, so I wouldn’t recommend it for your main kitchen sink if you live in a big house. Originally, I wanted this for my basement studio, but it’s so beautiful that I want it in the main part of our house. The sink weighs probably 40-50 lbs, and is very thick. Has a wonderful polished look, almost like a bathtub, and will probably last for 100 years.It’s fairly deep, but I’m not sure it’s deep enough for a laundry room sink.The lip on the sink is almost 2”, and measures nearly 18” across and 24” diagonally. Sink is made in Turkey, non-porous and is harder than rock. Your floor, not the sink, would break if you were to drop this.

After updating a 1910 home with some modern amenities, this has come into my life as a dream. It Fireclay style sink is a dream sink that will last 100 more years to come. It transcends a lot of styles that will come and go with a home, and will remain stylish. The smaller one is a little easier to install than the larger one, but there are manufacturer videos that you will find useful. Just remember than it comes with a drain assembly, but you will have to find our own sink accessories that will match your needs.
