Red HeartBoutique Unforgettable Yarn, Tealberry 3 Count

As advertised, arrived quickly.

This yarn is pretty and soft, but it's single ply so it unravels and frays like mad. Impossible to work on bamboo knitting needles because it snags so badly. I ended up using it to crochet something different than I originally bought it for.

First the positive - the yarn works up beautifully, though it is a bit finicky in place. There is a variation in yarn weight throughout the skein that I believe is deliberate, so while it is a 3 weight, in practice there are sections that are closer to a 2 or 4. I am a beginner with crocheting, and I haven't had a ton of problems working with the yarn.Now the bad - I was buying this yarn to match some previous Tealberry that I had bought to work on a project 4 years ago. There appears to have been a change in the colorway in that time. If you look at the product pictures on this listing for Tealberry, you can see there are two separate versions, one with a buttery yellow color, and one where the lightest color is a cooler beige-y brown.This listing will be sending your the version with the butter yellow NOT the color that is shown in the image of the three pack. I've returned the first set I ordered and the second set was the same. The color is fine except that I'm 2/3 the way through a project, so the change in color is not really something I can accept in my specific case.Unfortunately, I've been informed by one of my friends in the industry that the entire Unforgettable line seems to have been discontinued by Red Heart, so if you are looking to work with this yarn make sure you buy as much as you expect to need, plus a little extra for contingencies!

Idk how many more times this yarn is going to come out "broken/damaged". I gave 2 stars cause the color is gorgeous! But the quality is horrible! It says returns only on new/unused products... ummmm wait a minute, how could I have known the inside would be like this!?!? I'll be attempting to contact Amazon and see what they will do about sending out terrible quality yarn! I have 3 more skeins, ugh I hope this isn't a continuous problem! (Video has no sound)
