Competes with tents that are twice the cost!
I love all of my TNH gear, and I am overall just a huge fan of this company. They have excellent products, wonderful staff, as well as an admirable business mission. Their latest offering did not disappoint!I will admit, I was a bit skeptical of the single pole system. You either love these or you hate them. Having had very poor luck in the past with hub failure in one of my previous tents, I haven't bought another one of these since. However, the material used in the TNH single pole system is far superior and I am hopeful that it will hold up to years of use. The poles are lightweight aluminum and very fast and easy to snap together. The only thing I found bizarre was that one side of the pole system is longer than the other, and they are not marked front or rear. Typically this wouldn't be a problem, but this tent comes with no instructions. It only takes a minute to figure out if you have it oriented incorrectly, however I would have liked to have seen them include some sort of marking indicating which side faces the door. This tent has some really nice features, and almost all of the components are top notch. It comes with the TNH stakes and reflective guylines you've grown to love, not the garbage that you often see with tents in this price range. The tensioners are solid and will hold the guylines taught in virtually any weather conditions. The rainfly is of good quality and waterproof. It also provides versatility in ventilation options. Inside the tent you will find 2 storage pockets as well as 2 ceiling hooks to help manage your gear. As an added bonus, they have also included a tent pole splint in the event that one of the poles breaks. I don't expect to need this any time soon (or so I hope) because the poles are made of aluminum and seem sturdy, but it's still nice to have the peace of mind. There are a couple of minor disadvantages to this tent. First, and this is really the only complaint I have of the product itself, is that the zippers are not as nice as some of my more expensive tents that use YKK. They do the job, but in the cold weather they can be a challenge as they aren't quite as smooth as higher quality zippers. The only other thing I can mention is that TNH still doesn't have a ground tarp or footprint for this tent. They say it is coming, but at present time, you are on your own when it comes to ground protection. All things considered, this is an excellent 3 season tent regardless of cost. When you factor in the price it becomes clear to see just how incredible of a value this presents to the outdoor enthusiast. I own 8 other tents in the 2-4 person size, every one of them much more expensive than this one, but the TNH tent is nearly as good in all categories. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to anyone in the market for a 3 season tent for solo camping (let's face it, 2 person tents are not big enough for 2 people) and I can't wait to see what TNH comes out with next!To see this tent in action, check out my video review! It took me about 12 minutes total to set this up for the first time, and that included having to fix one of the guylines that was not properly fed through the tensioner. So YES, this tent can go up very quickly especially when you have had some practice and all the guylines are set up on the fly.

Quality tent, great value.
The new TNH 2-person tent is a solid winner. It is a free-standing 2-person tent that is big enough for 1 adult plus gear, or two smaller persons, or two adults with nothing but sleeping bags. As one other reviewer mentioned, the industry standard for tent sizes means that a 2 person tent is pretty small for two.The materials on this tent are great, with a strong tub-style floor, nice mesh sides, top and door to keep the bugs out, and a good waterproof cover or fly. The solid material on the sides are high enough to keep rain from blowing up under the fly, and there is enough mesh for good ventilation. The tent breathes really well without the fly.One thing that is important on any tent is to make sure that the fly (and the tent for that matter) is staked out tight. Keeping the fly tight keeps it away from the tent walls and lets air circulate though your tent. Why is this important? Because as you breath through the night, you exhale a lot of water vapor, and if you don’t have any air circulation through your tent you will get a lot of condensation on the walls of your tent. The other reason to stake the fly out tight is to keep rain out. Tight material lets water roll off, and if you have a bunch of wrinkles in the fly, water can collect and start to soak though. So remember, keep the fly taut. This tent uses a 1-pole system where the pole is interconnected as one piece. You can literally unfold the pole in 30 seconds, and after connecting it to the corners of the tent, you can raise the tent in a minute or two by using the clips on the tent material. So easy! The tent lines are reflective, the stakes are lightweight aluminum, the zippers are of decent quality, and the bag fits the tent plus accessories. So how does it perform? Great! I spent a night in it recently, and loved it. It kept the cool spring wind out of the tent, with just enough ventilation coming through the sides. Of course, the fly was staked and pulled away from the sides. Setup was easy, and takedown as well, without having to roll it too tight to stuff it in the sack.Weight is 4lbs, 6oz, or 1,987g with tent, fly, stakes, lines, pole and bag.Who do I recommend this for? Anyone car camping, motorcycle camping, bicycle camping or backpacking solo for short trips where weight is not a consideration, or for dual backpackers that can split the weight. This is a three-season tent, which means it is not designed to handle the weight of snow. It is tight for two adults, but perfect for 1 adult plus gear, child or dog.One of the best things? TNH has a lifetime guaranty and great customer service. They stand behind their products and that helps make this tent an awesome value. How good of a value is it? I have owned many tents over the years and currently own 6, from REI to Coleman, and none as inexpensive as this tent. This tent is easily the equal of all the other tents I own.

Great tent
I have slept in this tent three times so far. It is lovely and lightweight. I got this because it was my favorite of what felt like hundreds I had viewed. When in the carry bag it is thinner than a sleeping bag and I weighed it and realized that the rainfly is actually greater in weight than the body with poles. It comes with extra zipper attachments and a couple metal pieces in case one of the poles bends and needs extra support. The first time I went backpacking with it, I (5’4” female) slept with my dad in the tent. It was very warm with both of us in there. Also, a little tight. We both had sleeping pads and minimal gear inside the tent. The vestibule was great for our backpacks and anything that was best kept outside the tent, including my stove. I will admit that the waterproofness of this tent is questionable. I hope to never backpack in the rain, but I doubt I would be perfectly dry if two people were in the tent and it rained over a drizzle. The second and third times while sleeping in this tent the dew was relentless and if my sleeping bag touched the side of the tent at all it would get wet. So, if it rained, I would say one man tent, which would honestly be sad. That is a major down-sell. But it is rather roomy in comparison to what it could have been. We each had about six inches of grace space if our mats were touching. The cost, I thought, was appropriate, though my sister will disagree... but for the quality, space, weight, durability, and almost waterproofness, I think it was a fair price.I am giving it four stars, because of the dew problem I encountered, but I think this is an amazing tent and even with what I know about the tent now, I would still have selected this tent… Unless I had an unlimited budget… That would definitely change things.
