I am of a generation in which learning and remembering are closely tied to the motor skills involved in writing. I moved to an iPad some years ago for the overt purpose of once again being able to take hand-written notes and mark up the books I'm reading. I got a ~$80 Apple Pencil for this purpose. It worked GREAT. After years of faithful service, the Apple Pencil died. I wanted the latest generation version of the pencil, but it was not compatible with my 4th generation ipad. I resigne myself to not only buying a replacement Pencil, but a newer iPad as well. I stumbled on this product at Amazon and read the reviews. I was skeptical, but decided to hold off spending hundreds of dollars to solve my problem long enough to see how well a $12 solution work. I am THRILLED!!! It's every bit as good as the other 5 star reviews say. I've put it through its paces and find it to be responsive, accurate, and easy to use (great charging time and batter life). I even enjoy the ergonomics of the flat bevel on either side of the pen. Personally, I'd enjoy a bit more heft to the pencil, which would also reduce the impression that it is "cheaply made," but that's a very minor issue in the scheme of things. Congrats to the innovative, anonymous company for making a thing of truly excellent value. I am curious how it works -- it is powered but does not use Bluetooth (like the Apple Pencil), but am happy to use it in ignorance.

Works easily and well. Just turn on and use, no need to go to extra lengths to connect! Battery life is great and charges fast. Price is awesome for the product. Feels good in hands. Totally accurate. I have a paper feel screen protector so not sure if it scratches the screen but the tip doesn’t feel like it would.

I bought this stylus pen for my daughter's 10th generation iPad, and it's been a fantastic purchase. She loves using it for schoolwork and drawing. Bought this to replace a dead Apple pen 5 months ago, and it continues to be fully functioning. No need to buy the Apple brand over this one, as far as I can tell. Easy operation design includes power on/off click and hide-away USB-C charging port. Charges quickly and stays charged for more than an ample amount of time. Using it on an iPad Air 4 for general use and apps such as Procreate and find it to work just as well as the Apple brand.
