I love this decadent cookbook for so many reasons
I love this cookbook for so many reasons. First and foremost, it addresses the issue of hormones! It starts with explanations and has two week actual meal plans once you take a survey and find the right program for you. If you have every suffered from mood swings, PMS, bloated stomach or constant fatigue, this book is a must for you. Not only is it one of the most vibrant and gorgeously attractive cookbooks I have ever seen, it is loaded with vital information explained in easy to follow way to help you heal by balancing your hormones through simple methods. I love the idea of the Food Apothecary with 20 superfoods and superherbs that while may not be in your everyday cooking, should be and such a simple mindset shift to start feeling good and to implement. Most everything can be found at your local grocery or health food store. I can get overwhelmed by too many hard to find or weird ingredients. These recipes are simple to implement and I love the diet modifications to change to Anti Candida or Low fodmaps or whatever else you need. I particular love your choices for smoothies (Chocolate Cherry-huge favorite!) and salad dressings. This literal is the best money you can spend. So start your gut healing today through this amazing cookbook. Your worth it!

This book is so GIVING!
I've been following Magdalena for years. I am fascinated how food affects hormones and what to do about it. This book has really made it easy to have all the information necessary to follow a path for healing. I need structure in order to implement big changes and this book does it. The quiz makes it easy to see where you may have issues and then gives you the foundation and specifics to address the issues. I really like how it's broken down into Phases (I & II) so we don't get overwhelmed and so that we do what needs to happen first (rather than just throwing a supplement at a specific symptom). I'm pretty excited to try out the "Candida Test" and see how low my stomach acid actually is. And I'll then know what to do about it since there is a protocol for so much in this book. So much more than a cookbook. I'll be starting the Elimination Diet next week and keeping my Food, Mood, Poop Journal. How can there be anything more exciting than that! That's easy, the food! So far what I've made has been delicious. The melties I did with lemon and extra raspberries. Very, very good! I've made the patties from the PFF (Farmer's Breakfast) twice so far, once with lamb and once with beef and they are fantastic. I think I'm addicted. This week I've got the Honey Glazed Tarragon Chicken and the Breakfast Casserole Two: Pork Chops and Apples on my meal plan to try out. I'm pretty excited about the Nomad's Kebabs too. That needs to go on the meal plan soon! This book has nice dark font that is big enough to read - even without my glasses. Sometimes recipe books use a font that 1/4 or 1/2 cup/tsp are so difficult to see. This book makes it easy to read it and a delight to cook with. Thick pages, easy to flip pages. Really a work of art. Worth every penny and more.

My favorite new cookbook
I love this book. I found Magdalena’s website after searching for food options during a cleanse mandated by my holistic dermatologist. I’ve suffered from cystic acne for what feels like my whole life, have highly irregular periods, which led to some issues getting pregnant and then when I did get pregnant I miscarried. Changing how I eat has completely changed how I feel, my acne has gone away, and I feel so much better with more stable energy throughout the day. I love the wisdom, the science, and the graphics. I love that there are online printable on her website as a companion to the book. I love the recipes - they are unique and from all over the world, not just your standard cookbook recipes. I love how much care Magdalena takes to figure out how to make common food items “cleanse approved” — the pizza recipe is the best recipe I’ve found that meets my gluten-, dairy-, egg-free needs. I love the protein-packed breakfasts. I can’t wait to try the chai. This recipe alone is worth the cost of the book — no more sugar-loaded Starbucks chai (which gives me a headache anyway). Best of all is the full diet plans, which makes doing a “cleanse” easy. I have recommended Magdalena’s work to so many friends and bought multiple copies of the book to give to my clients as a gift. Thank you Magdalena for dedicating your life to this work. I’ve even gotten my husband into all of this and he’s sad the hormone imbalance quiz isn’t designed for men!

Very Informative!!
I suffer from many hormonal imbalances and this book is God sent. Magdalena's story and background of healing from many different illnesses resonated with me on many levels. This book led me to learn about black cohosh, red rasberry leaf, fennel, mushroom coffee and lucuma powder and many more ingredients I since now integrated in my already holistic apporach to living a healthy plant-based lifestyle. Magdalena is not vegan and advocates for cooking with duck fat among other ingredients I am sensitive to, however, I still enjoy many of her recipes because I substitued a lot of the ingredients and made it to my liking. I will say though, if you are on a budget depending where you live these recipes may not be for you because a lot of the ingredients are available on amazon only and are not affordable. I started off trying the recipes that have repeated ingredients first then went on to following the guidelines. One thing, I will mention she does recommend mushroom coffee from a company that is 80% coffee and 10 % mushrooms. So I bought it from another brand 'Sun Alchemy' because they do not contain coffee in their products. I am sure its not her fault but personally speaking I would not recommend a product if I am not 100% sure what it contains especially if an author. But overall, I am happy to have this on my kindle it open doors to other similar products.
