It does the job but I have certainly bought better straps for the money!

I've now bought a couple of these straps and find them excellent value for money. I've had a few NATO straps over the years and these are very good. Some I have owned have been too thin, stiff, and plasticky, but these are much better than that. These are softer and a decent thickness, the real thing. I have noticed that the nylon stitching can be felt on your wrist, so I have gently used a small nail file on it, and now that problem is solved. I'm sure over time it would get softer anyway, but I just sped up the process (not that it was especially uncomfortable). I also wear mine like the RAF pattern, so I snip off the extra piece of strap and burn the cut end to stop fraying. On the subject of fraying, I've worn these straps for a while now and they haven't frayed anywhere, even around the holes or on the edges. I wash the straps every now and then and they still look as good as new after plenty of wear. You can pay a lot more for a NATO strap and normally end up with much the same as these. Some use softer material, like a seatbelt, and they are nice, but these ones are more like the traditional G10 straps. One final observation is that these ones are slightly shorter than usual. My wrists are fairly average and I find the length perfect, but if you're a big fella you may need the extra length. It's easy to recommend these straps. They come well packages and the spring bar tool, while small, works well enough and is a welcome addition.

I purchased the "Smoke Grey/Pumpkin" strap and the "Dark Grey/Pumpkin" strap. The dark grey looks more like navy in the picture but I would have been happy with that too. As it happens, both straps are exactly the same grey colour, which is disappointing. Also, the 10% discount didn't apply because Amazon defaulted one of the straps to a different seller for the same price. So I basically ended up with two identical straps for no reason. Hopefully someone else can use one of them.Other than that they look nice, feel strong and are comfortable to wear. Decent instructions for putting on a NATO strap included as well as the usual springbar removal tool and spare springbars.

Bought a NATO band to preserve the leather strap and deployment buckle on my Longines Conquest. I was reluctant at first to put a cheap strap on an expensive watch, but my instincts were wrong. Against the tasteful background of CIVO's Navy/Ivory model, this 41mm beauty looks positively regal! Worn with a plain shirt (not a patterned one), it enhances the watch's good looks, without cheapening the ensemble for one second. It's also beautifully made, and good enough for everything except the most formal occasions.The only difficulty is removing the original strap, but a good jeweler can do that at minimal cost. From then on it's child's play: changing a NATO band is so easy even I can do it! What's more, the NATO design is safer because the watch won't fall off if a lug pin breaks, and you're less likely to scratch or wear the back because it is covered by not one, but two pieces of strong material.So if you're uneasy about using one of these with a timepiece worth thousands, don't be. You'll keep the original strap or bracelet in pristine condition, the watch itself will be better protected, and it'll still look a million dollars. Get one - it's a no brainer!

This strap makes an excellent partner for my Timex Explorer watch (Model: T84601) which has a dark green resin body, a black ring and tan coloured face. It is very well made and the materials look strong and durable which matches nicely with the style of the watch. The side with the buckle is much shorter than the other side which leads to the buckle being at the side of the wrist rather than at the back. I would have preferred if the buckle was underneath but I think this is something I will get used to. I did install the strap opposite to the way it shows in the instructions, this keeps the buckle on the inside of the wrist which is what I prefer. The included manual is very well produced and is of a standard that all other suppliers should aspire to. For the price I think these straps at a good deal. Not the longest strap and the buckle ends up on the side of my wrist but it is surprisingly comfortable. Easy to install with the included tool and nice to have a few extra spring bars included (not sure on the strength of these).The orange stripe really adds a flash of colour. The metal parts seem ok and only time will tell if they stand up to the wear and tear.Overall I am happy with my purchase. I have installed this on a cheap watch but I wouldn't feel comfortable installing on a more expensive watch.

Great quality wrist band for a watch. Very nice feel to it and it just looks immediately like its a quality item. I have one in blue that just looks so smart. The thickness is just right - not too thin and cheap feeling and not to thick and difficult to use. The holes in it are well made so now after a few months use it still looks like new. I have previously had these where they fray easily and become unusable after weeks. This band looks set to give service for a long time. Great in hot weather as its cloth. Plenty big enough for a large wrist and fine for my quite small wrists. The silver bands look more like silver than chrome - nice quality look to it - which I suppose it is as its not cheap to buy. Expensive but great value once you get to look at it and use it.
