Perfect for young violinists
My son has been playing since he was 6 and this grip is a lifesaver for nice sounding notes. I didn't want to commit to spending so much on it but I am so glad that I did, it's worth it. He's now 11 and still uses this.

Useful yet expensive
This is recommended by my daughter's violin teacher, who has a doctoral's degree in music, to correct her thumb position. It's easy to use (my daughter's comments), but I feel like it could be cheaper given the cost of making it. Don't know where else we could get it though.

Expensive
I’ve seen similar tools for half the price, but the kids love using it and it really helps their bow hold. I’m sure more of them would buy their own if it wasn’t so expensive.

Just as expected
My 4-year old child just started playing the violin and our teacher recommended that we get this to help with correct bow-holding. It is easy to use and does what it is supposed to do. It helps my child keep their pinky curved the right way when holding the bow. I like that there are different colors to choose from. While this is a helpful product, I wish it only cost about $5. Because it is really just a small piece of molded rubber.

perfect aid
I love these. Our orchestra made some "pinky cups" out of some tubing that I couldn't remember. So when I saw this on amazon I was thrilled. fits my daughter's 1/8th size and my son's 1/2 size just fine.

Great for my injured pinky!
I am an adult beginner. I have a pinky injury from an accident. My pinky does not extend fully and I cannot apply proper downward pressure on the bow. With the fishy I can place my pinky finger in the correct position and my other fingers are able to compensate. My bow hold would be like that of a neanderthal without this adorable little fish. It has worked wonders, and my instructor even compliments my bow hold now. I can't recommend enough! Plus, it's pink and glittery, which is amazing :)

Worth the Cost
Got this for my daughter's 1/2 violin. It is easily installed and has helped my daughter greatly with positioning her pinky and getting a more comfortable bow grip. This is our second one because when my daughter broke her first bow, she forgot to take this thing off and it got thrown away but it's been so instrumental (pun intended) in helping her learn to play, we bought a second one.

It works just exactly as described.
Great little aid to help keep pinky in correct place on violin bow. I found it very pricey for what it is, but still a great product.

Helpful to bend pinkie
My daughter’s pinkie always has a problem, it is always too tight, not bendy. This fishy bow holder does force her pinkie to a right position. However she seems to get too overly relied on it, without it she could use her bow properly anymore. Also it’s a bit costly.

Very expensive.
Just one little holder. I was thought the price should be at least for five little ones.
