I use this all the time. It's a good value and has all the features that I need. I especially like the continuity tone. The unit is small, but the readout is large and it's easy to read. A nice device for the home owner, or as my case as a renter renter. Just checking a remote control battery makes the thing worthwhile. When I was a tech for a movie theatre chain I had one of these things (from Radio Shack!) it got me out of more problems. I think people should have such a device handy.

Meter is easy to use. Good quality build, it is accurate compared with analog of same parameter nomenclature. Directions enclosed are good user resource. As with anything these days the pictographic symbols for LED, DC , AC, Ohm resistance require user to be familiar with or educate themself about. Read enclosed pamphlet to operate. Good device for the price.

This ranging multimeter is a good basic model with a clean design and legible display. It even has a couple of "extras" with the Hold and Backlight buttons. I mostly use it to check the voltage on used A, AA, button disc, and 9-volt batteries, but I also plan to use the AC voltage and continuity settings.

Being this was the first time to use one of these meters it was simple and quite a handy instrument. You can do several things with it. Check to see if a fuse is good, check to make sure your getting voltage ie: my hot water heater in my travel trailor wouldn't stay lit. I was able to hook this meter to it and was able to tell what was getting power and what wasn't so I was able to replace the faulty part. Pretty cool how it works. It does come with instructions. Knowing now how it works its a really handy instrument. Especially checking to see if a fuse is good. No more squinting trying to see.
