thick boook
Bought this from Amazon as considerably cheaper and better delivery than from SStreet. Many new patterns but some repeats. A bit of a niggle as pages describe Autumn as Fall but I am from the UK. Worth the money at the cheaper price.

Amazing Compilation
What a collection of amazing Projects.Best of all are the 10 more exclusive New Projects she has included.l have been really looking for ward to this book and when it was handed to me by my postman, l jumped for joy.l love how she thinks of you through stages of your sewing journey and makes you feel, you are capable of achieving your projects from the book. From what you need, stitches to use, applique and hand stitching, you know she is there with you.Debbie talks you through different additions to your sewing from binding, and putting zip in etcAlthough there are not pattern pieces in the book, she does give you measurements to achieve all the different projects. She also puts the applique templates and others where just straight cutting your fabric is not an option. wonderful to find at the back of the book, and you can trace them off, so as not to damage the book.l also love how the projects are not just based for one age group. Thought has gone into this book as you can make gifts for friends and family of all ages.l loved the Tea Cosy project as not many families have teapots, but it will be a gift made to give l know. Loved the little cottages and how you can add or make versions of them to decorate your home, or add a Christmas touch to them to pop them on windowsills.the cupcake oven mitt is adorable.Love the section on Halloween. Loved the gonk. My fave though was the toadstool House and the Spooky houses on a pillow.Would definitely recommend this book, even if you have any others of Debbie's Half Yard Books. It complements her range.

A Great Collection - Something for Everyone
Autumn Collection from Debbie Shore’s Half Yard series of sewing books is a compilation of patterns from other titles in the series and, according to the front cover, ten new projects. The 40 projects are spread over four chapters, Cozying up at Home, Halloween Celebrations, Falltime Tidy and Fall Days Out (Fall meaning Autumn for those of us in the UK). There’s a page of Tips for the Beginner, a chapter on what you need in your Sewing Kit, a techniques chapter titled Before you Start and full-size templates, if the pattern calls for them, at the back of the book.If you are new to Debbie Shore’s books you won’t be disappointed – plenty of bright clear photographs to go with step-by-step instructions simply explained in a crisp clear font. The projects are super easy to construct and quick to complete requiring only half a yard, or less, of fabric. There’s something for everyone in this collection the range includes a very simple wet wipe sachet cover (great for beginners), a pumpkin wreath, a craft easel and a storage bag (a good skills builder) to name a small number. And not all projects require a sewing machine, there’s a hand stitch felt bag with matching purse and a delightful felt toadstool house – that’s where I’m starting. I’m sure you’ll enjoy working your way through the projects some of which are great gift ideas.

Lovely projects to make
Half YardAutumn CollectionDebbie ShoreI have received this book to review. This is a mighty book of Debbie's top 40 half yard projects, including 10 exclusive new projects. A great edition to your collection but particularly for those new to sewing or making fabulous items with Debbie. As with all the books in her series, they are a good reference size of approx, A4 and printed to a high standard onlovely quality paper with clear printing and colour choice. Each project has a quick reference box for what you need and then extremely easy instructions to follow with supporting photographs. At the beginning of the book are tips, kit and technique pages to help you navigate through your projects, Although the book is called Autumn, the majority of items can be made with suitable fabric for any season and are perfect gifts. A number of the projects you will obviously have seen in previous books but there is a good selection of quick makes using half a yard of outer fabric to be given to any age recipient as a gift. The book would make a great gift of inspiration to any beginner or experienced person. Debbie also has a membership club, shop and workshops available as well as being on facebook and youtube, so you will never have a problem asking for any help or advice.
