This lamp is so beautiful that I am running it even in the daylight. I have purchased a few, and gifted one to a friend who loves it just as much. Although it is currently unavailable on Amazon, I have contacted the seller, and they quickly informed me that more are on the way. As soon as it is back in stock I plan to purchase additional lamps, and confidently recommend this lamp for gifting. This is one of the best items I have ever purchased on Amazon!ASSEMBLY / USAGE INSTRUCTIONS:When unboxing there is no directions, but it is simple to assemble.Before placing the shade on the base OR installing a lightbulb, you must do the following:1. Unscrew & remove the black threaded ring that is attached to the base just below where the bulb goes.2. The shade has a metal part on one end which you will now set onto the base. (If you look at the image of the birds in the trees, it will be obvious which end is up)3. Replace the black threaded ring over the metal shade piece to hold the shade securely.4. Install a light bulb (not included)5. Plug the lamp into an appropriate electrical outlet.6. Use the rocker switch located within the electrical cord to turn the lamp on and off as desired.BULB SELECTION:The bulb you choose will definitely have an impact on the appearance of this lamp. The lamp does have a label that states the max wattage is 40W. My suggestion is that you select an LED bulb which will have a much lower wattage, be more cost effective to run, and will also emit much less heat if you are concerned about the wooden shade. As far as color goes, that will be a personal preference depending on your end goal. It may be helpful for you to look online at a Kelvin Temperature Color Chart to better understand the scale since there are so many options these days. To summarize, Kelvin basically runs from 1000K warm to 10,000K cool. The warm colors on the lower end are more yellow, and you will find many household bulbs in the 2700K-3000K range. As you increase to 4000K-5000K the color will become more white. A bulb described as daylight is typically around 6500K, but many in this range appear more blue in color. The bulbs vary by brand, etc. and the higher the lumens, the brighter the bulb will be. Personally I like this lamp with a warmer bulb, but it will take some trial and error for you to decide what is best for you.NOTEWORTHY:The shade on this lamp is made out of a thin layer of wood, and thus no two lamps will be 100% identical. Each lamp will have its own unique look based on the grain and the knots of the wood, but rest assured the lamps will match regardless if you order more than one.When fully assembled, this lamp stands approximately 11 inches tall from the bottom of the base to the top of the shade, and approximately 4.75 inches wide. I love its small size because it can fit in many different locations throughout the house, and it is very easy to relocate. Don’t let the small size fool you, because with the proper bulb, it can shine big light if desired.When I first stumbled upon this lamp I did think it was costly for such a small item. However, now that I have experienced the beauty of this lamp, it definitely justifies the cost.The packaging is protective, and the lamps I received were in perfect condition. However, if for some reason you need to send it back, it is easy to repack and return, not to mention Amazon’s generous return policy.In closing, ORDER THIS LAMP!It’s spectacular, amazing, fabulous, beautiful…..etc…..etc…..

This is the perfect accent light. So cute on and off.

I couldn’t be happier with this $35 lamp! I went and bought a color changing led bulb for $10-15 (but any standard build will fit and looks great in this). I used this for an anime collection theme because of the birds and it is the main piece of my room especially in the evenings. The lamp will light a small bedroom easily and the build is sturdy. This looks and feels like a $50+ lamp easily. I would buy more of these if I had more rooms or when I future time comes. Highly suggest this. Took quite a bit to arrive (about 3-4 weeks) but was shipped with care.

One of the two wash crushed when it arrived. I gently pushed it back to shape and used it anyways, since it's cheap. The instruction manual says a lot about stained glass. This is definitely NOT stained glass, but it does look nice. It's some type of real wood shell with a plastic liner inside. I needed something larger, but this is an attractive filler.

I absolutely love this lamp and have gotten compliments from almost everyone who has seen it. It looks much more expensive than it is. I wouldn't recommend to use as a reading lamp or as a primary light source.

I was looking for a small lamp that would give off a gentle glow and this lamp is perfect. It isn't too big so doesn't take up a lot of table space. When on (which is almost all the time even in the day at our house) it gives off a nice ambiance. The birds on the branches makes it extra special. Had it for several months now and get lots of compliments.

There was a missing part that would have held the shade on. I returned it.
