Alan Bennett: Triple Bill

This item has brought a lot of joy to my 88yr old mum who is feeling a bit low at the moment. Its gentle humour was just what she needed!

I bought this for my dad for Christmas and him and my mum loved it they said it was very funny and made them laugh out loud.

I have enjoyed some of the plays on TV in the past, so I bought this to listen in the car on long journeys getting to work.Unfortunately I found it a bit boring to listen to.Maybe I am a bit of a phleb, but I will stick to the visual medium in future.But for Alan Bennett fans who are less of a phleb than me, I should think this would fit the bill.

Much enjoyed on a long car journey, these are perhaps a little dated but still very enjoyable , And the actors those reliable stars of old, Routledge, Lloyd and co. Listening can be so much better than watching and it is quite easy to imagine the settings of each play as it goes along.

Three short stories written and adapted into mini plays by the author,Alan Bennett. Each play takes an unexpected turn of events which leave the listener thinking and amused by the outcome. I have listened to this disc several times and always enjoy.

So pleased I purchased this item, I often have to travel, rather boringly halfway around the M25 so this Audio CD certainly helps to shorten the journey. I now need to find more Alan Bennett so I can ring the changes !

Bought as part of a Christmas present for my friend and she loves listening to at bedtime. I hope she enjoyed the trilogy.
