I recently moved from New England to Florida. I smoke about a pack of cigarettes a day. I used to gas up my zippo and it would last 3 or 4 days. But down in Florida, my zippo would run out in a day or so. I got this last week, and now it lasts about 3 days or so. So I think it helps. Installing it is not hard, just take your time and follow instructions. I would recommend.

This makes the Zippo leak proof if you don’t overfill; I also like the flint holder.

Works alright for what it is but i’ve found that the side opposite the screw tends to lift a bit and i haven’t seen any noticeable difference in the rate of evaporation of the lighter fluid. I like the design and it has a space for an extra flint.

THIS IS NOT A "VINE FREE" REVIEW!!!No measurable difference in evaporation, and I have no idea why the fill cover is 'sunk in'. Still has leakage even when NOT from a "fresh refill". It does make the lighter "APPEAR" better asthetically instead of a felt wad to pull up to fill or dig a spare flint from. If you want "looks" then this is ok, if you want function to stop leakage then this won't work for that. IF YOUR INSERT IS BENT IN ANY WAY, THIS WILL NOT FIX THAT (IT CAN'T FIX A DAMAGED INSERT!) THIS ONE IS IN A BRAND NEW LIGHTER! (ZIPPO)

Fits perfectly in my zippo and is sealing just fine to me. This is my first time using one so I'll let you guys know in the future how it worked out. I've been using these lighters for a good 30 years now I already notice the difference in the flame alone is much fuller for some reason. Very nice upgrade. As for the extra orings it comes with I don't see the use for it. By the time these go bad how will I remember where I put the set at? Lol for the price I'll just order me another one.

Didn’t work so well. Leaked fluid

This thing is great. I had low fuel in my lighter before I installed it and just waited a few minutes once I did, assuming it'll be forced up the wick if there's no evap. I must have been right, went from needing to spark it a few times to firing right up. The instructions are actually pretty clear and concise, pointing out details like making sure to put the right hole of the included pad where, which is useful since they look about the same size. Has an extra of each of its 3 seals. Careful filling it after, the cotton will likely be a little compressed, but this upgrade really helps. Just be careful not to lose your spare flint if you put one in there, it just rests in the bit, doesn't clip in. It also feels like it added some structural integrity to my Zippo. Not sure about its claim in the instructions to fit slim models. Highly recommended.
