I wish I had taken a video or a picture of the fly fan doing the work! If you are going to a summer cookout and hate the annoying flies, then you must buy this product! I was at a cookout last weekend and I had packed the fly fans in my car. Totally forgot that I had them until I sat down to eat and the first thing I did was fanning flies off my food. Oh no!!!! I went to my car and got my set to assemble. Luckily I had bought my AA batteries and had them handy because batteries are not included with purchase. The only problem I had with this product was the assembly. It took some time to get the base unit to unlock and lock into height position. I am pretty strong and I had to ask for help. Even the testosterone had somewhat difficulty but persistence paid off and the unit was assembled. The batteries are in and now it was time to see what it would do. Now I need to tell you that the "blades" (not metal) give off a wide radius, so be careful not to place items too close. The blades won't break anything. The unit can be inverted but I didn't have anything to invert the fan upside down. But once the fans started working and all objects were out of the way, no more fanning flies! I will never go to another cookout again. Everyone was amazed at this product.Ok let me break down the review according to the rating questions: I give it a 5 stars despite the 3 I gave for ease of assemble. It's super lightweight and quiet. One person at the cookout said that it even cooled her off.I definitely recommend buying this.

We used these on our picnic table for Memorial Day to keep the flies off the food and they worked great! I was able to put them in between platters and they kept running for a few hours, easily long enough to keep our food safe. They also didn't spin fast enough to blow anything around or dry out the food, which was nice. Just enough movement to deter any flying insects from hanging out around our table. I could see these being great for a lot of occasions like this over the summer, including tailgates, cookouts, etc. Living in the south we have a hard time keeping the flies out of the house in the summer unfortunately, so they'll even be nice to use inside. Overall very pleased and glad to add these to my party kits!

These are perfect for picnics/barbecues. I gave this 4 stars because of the small area it helps with (3 ft x 3 ft est.). I bought 3 to put on my tables on the patio. It did keep flies off the table and the food on the table, but not away from people sitting at the table. I was mostly concerned about keeping flies off the food, so it did work well to accomplish that concern.

These fans work great for outside parties. I saw these at a pool party I was attending and knew I needed to get these for our upcoming Fourth of July party. Great way to get those pesky flies away from your food.

Broke one of them trying to get it to open. Bottom came apart from top 2 stacks. 2 of them finally got open. My friends have these and they eork well, once there set up.

I bought these to keep flies away and other bugs when we’re eating outdoors while we’re camping. They really worked. I took them with me to Michigan on our recent camping trip to Ludington Michigan. My husband was a real skeptic that they would work and didn’t even want me to pack them, but I did and they really did work and keep the flies away, and as you probably know you have been to Michigan there are plenty of flies there and if this passes Michigan test, I think it’ll work just about anywhere there in the sad and I really only used one, but it did a fabulous job
