The replacement clutch and dogs work great in my 28 year old Whirlpool top load washer!The parts cost me under $20 versus replacing the washer with a new one for around $800.Do the math.

I liked this kit because it contained the clutch , motor drive and adgitator dogs at a very good price.

I called the repairman to fix the washer. I was told it would be a minimum of $250.00 to replace the clutch. I decided to see if Youtube could help. I found a video on how to fix the washer, which seemed simple enough for me and then went searching for parts on the internet. Parts were expensive but still better than the quote. Then I wondered if Amazon would have them. I found the parts (the clutch assembly) at a much better price. I was able to give repairing the washer a shot because of how reasonable the parts cost was. With the parts and the video I had the washer up and running in about an hour. Amazon just keeps getting better and better. As far as the quality of parts, the washer is working like a dream. I have washed quite a few loads to this point with no problems.

For 17 bucks this is a low cost kit. I have bought many of the non OEM parts and done washer rebuilds with mush success. Watch YouTube videos to see what the major overhaul will take. The only thing this kit is missing is the balance pads for the tub. I would also replace those since you got the machine all apart.If bought separately the cost would be higher. I have bought many of these kinds of parts. Personally I prefer the 6 pad heavy clutch pads and all plastic motor couplers.
