All-time great action film, with phenomenal Blu-ray High-Definition picture quality
This is one of my all-time favorite movies. I'm not into action-adventures usually, but this is a very exciting, big-budget film with a terrific plot, outstanding dialogue, great direction, and a number of outstanding actors, led by Bruce Willis and Alan Rickman. It's VERY well made, and is quite clever, hip, and incredibly enjoyable and memorable. On top of that, the Blu-ray has simply beautiful picture quality, it's hard to believe that a movie from the late-1980s could look this beautiful on one of today's High-Definition TV's, but they obviously shot it with top-quality equipment at the time, and the remastering of the Blu-ray was top-notch.I recommend this product most highly.

Great Movie, Great Product!
The 4K Blu-ray is easily the best way to enjoy this movie. Everything is shown in great detail without running into issues like compression you would find on a streaming service. Not only is the visual quality great but the audio mix was also done quite well!

I don't care what Bruce says, it IS a Christmas movie!
We always spin this up at Christmas time because it's not Christmas season until Hans falls off the Nakatomi Building...When released in 88 (in July) Bruce was a solid comedic actor with great chops... Moonlighting (TV), Blind Date, Sunset...It was a little reach for him to play an action hero, but he did it solidly with bringing his comedic talents to make it fun. This movie was one of the best Action flicks of the 80s and is just fun. It kicked off a lot of actor's movie and TV careers.I bought this to bring my copy up to speed with the Blu-ray version. The transfer is clean and sharp... I really should have sprung for the 4K version since this was originally shot of film... But this definitely works well for me... It's now on my shelf with the DVD and Laserdisc versions of the movie! ;-)

... it other than "Die Hard' was one of the greatest action movies of the 1980's if not one of ...
There is just no way to put it other than "Die Hard' was one of the greatest action movies of the 1980's if not one of the greatest ever made. I had not seen this awesome movie since I experienced it in a theater after it came out but my interest was piqued over the recent debate as to whether "Die Hard" was actually a Christmas movie. So I bought it and watched it on Christmas Day and while not along the traditional lines of "It's a Wonderful Life" and the incessantly overplayed "A Christmas Story", this was a holiday movie for the times and one hell of a good way to spend the evening after the family festivities. All sardonic humor aside, this version was great and reasonably cheap at the time that I purchased it. Keep in mind that this was the movie that changed the trajectory of Bruce Willis's career from a tv schlub into a legitimate action hero. The direction is top notch as is the supporting cast.Well worth the price via Amazon.

Best Christmas movie ever!
This is a classic movie that everyone should watch regularly each Christmas season. It has given us such great quotes as "Now I have a machine gun, Ho Ho Ho." and "Yippie Ki Yay, Mother......" Quotes like that really bring out the holiday spirit. Add this movie to your holiday traditions. You won't be disappointed.
