Our favorite bulb for our redfoot tortoise
This Mega Ray is a great bulb, good size, wide field of light, a nice neutral white, think 4000 Kelvin. Also high color index that brought out the natural colors of our redfoot tort.Zoomed light that we switched from was good size but too dark and orange, it also flickered the most and least reliable.Exoterra bulb was too small and cast a smaller field, like a prison yard spotlight, it was also very fluorescent, washed out the colors of our redfoot tort and he looked green!Remember to change every 12 months!!

Great UVB bulb
I buy one of these bulbs every 6 months for my iguana. They work amazingly. With the help of this light, dietary changes, and physical therapy we were able to turn around his MBD and stop it's progression. I will never buy another brand UVB bulb. When I bought this last one it started shorting out within a week. The replacement arrived within two days thank goodness. The flickering had scared my poor iguana and I can't have him without this for too long. The Mega-Ray box was really damaged when I received it though. It looked like it had been smashed and taped back together, but the bulb was in perfect shape!

Mega ray mercury vapor bulb
This bulb I can say I like . I wish i would have researched bulbs before buying one. The last bulb I bought was causing my bearded dragon to go blind. Thankfully I caught it before he went completely blind. I’m not sure why other companies can even get there products out there to sell if they cause blindness in our reptiles. So please do not purchase Mixjoy brand for your reptile. Since purchasing this bulb my bearded dragon is happy and not blind. So my beardie is back to running around and playing thanks to this product. Thanks MegaRay.

great light
We use these for our reptiles. We’ve tried so many brands and this one has lasted the longest, we have had tortoises, monitors, beardies, tegus and more. these last the longest and have helped maintain the health of our animals. totally recommend. Little more spendy but whats a few bucks more for longevity and true temps?

good for turtle. Stop working after 2 weeks
I bought a new one to replace the old bulb because of the Amazon discount. But stopped working after two weeks of work. Used two of the same and this is the third one. First time encountering this situation

Works perfect, lasts long and great for turtles!
Honestly, this light is far better than the other lights, I've had this one since Feb. 6th and it beats having to run to the pet store to buy a light every 2 weeks. For me at least this one has been perfect for my Red earred slider. Hasn't burnt out from being ran 12 hours a day (although you shouldn't, at least give it a couple 30 minute breaks throughout the day)

Fantastic bulbs
Probably the best mercury vapor bulb on the market. Is it more expensive than others? Yes. It also lasts twice as long and degrades at a much slower rate. It doesn't put out a ton of heat so if you have a desert reptile that needs a really hot basking spot it might need some support. I'm running it 9" from the basking spot with a 175w par38 flood light to get the 150 degrees my Ackies need. Spend the couple extra dollars, follow the instructions to set it up properly and replace it once a year. Don't waste time or money on other mediocre lighting, just buy one of these and be done with it. Your scaled buddies will thank you
