Evolution for Babies: A STEM Learning Board Book about Evolutionary Biology from the #1 Science Author for Kids (Science Gifts for Kids) (Baby University)

I studied evolutionary biology in college and I could not wait for this book to come out, even though my daughter is only six months old. I loved that the book was conceptual, not specifically addressing the evolution of real species. The use of balls as individuals of a species and a hole as death is inspired. However, the authors have red balls that do not reproduce and a "special" blue ball that can. This implies that there was life before reproduction and evolution. As I understood it, all life reproduces and evolves. But otherwise, great read!

I love this book and so does my son. He is 2 years old and he really enjoys it. I think it is VERY important to introduce children to STEM (Science, technology, engineering and math) concepts early and this book is great for that purpose.

My 3 year old is in love with these books but this one most of all. I thought it would go completely over her head but the way they use balls to explain the concept of evolution really kept her attention and she asks for the "lotion" book most nights now.

Not the approach I was expecting, but I loved it. These books give complex info on a way that even older kids could use these to help in school.

On of my 7 month olds favorite. Well written and simple enough to engage her.

I liked the well conceived way to present what otherwise might look like a complex and hard to grasp notion.

Love this series so does my son, simple explanation and pictures make it entertaining for my baby.

The book was damaged, I requested areplacement but I received another damaged item. I was not able to request another replacement. Very disappointing!

In the comments the book was described as good as new, but the reality was far from that. First and last time I order something used... The context of the book was good and our son loves it. It is a pity we had to pay 10 euros for something so much damaged with initial price 10$....

It's a simple little book, but I think it's actually really helpful for explaining evolution to just about anyone! Our little girl is very small at 2, so she has no idea what the book is really about, but she enjoys all the colourful balls, and talks about the balls and the holes as the turns the pages :) Great quality book as well.
