Cold-Chain Monitor For Logging The Temperature of Foodstuff or Pharmaceutical
This is a cold-chain monitor, which is used to make sure a foodstuff or pharmaceutical stays within a specified temperature range. This is the non-pro version, they also sell a pro version for about twice as much. My review unit measured temperature and humidity. This connects via WiFi, and must get near the same WiFi SSID and password that it is set to to log the temperatures. It can save at least 7 days when not near WiFi and then upload them when it gets to WiFi. It might be able to log to your phone using Bluetooth, but I wasn't able to test that. This requires their app to set it up and their server to work. If for some reason the manufacturer no longer provides their server, this will become useless.Like many products, they want to sell you a service with continuing billing. The "basic" logging service, which this comes with, is showing me an expiration date 2 months in the future. I don't know what happens then, maybe it auto-renews. Basic logging preserves 7 days of data. The more expensive services can send SMS and email, so that you can be notified if your unit goes out of temperature limits.I'm not thrilled by the fact that this is so dependent on the manufacturer's server and app, I would much prefer a product that connected to my local WiFi and could be accessed using a standard-compliant web browser, without any use of the internet except for SMS and email. I'm pretty sure those will be around for the next decade, while with apps and servers, they could be around for 20 years or be gone tomorrow. There are other brands that do provide the local web service.

Account will not work
I'm sure this hardware works great, but no matter what email address and password I registered, when I would go to login, it said bad password. I had two other people try, same result. Was really looking forward to this as it would have some features my existing Govee units don't. Lesson learned, threw it away and ordered a new Govee unit instead.

Buen equipo, mala batería
Es un buen equipo que se adapta al monitoreo fácilmente, pero la batería no cumple con lo ofrecido de 7 días de duración. solo funcionan a máxima carga 1 día.

Commercial temperature and humidity monitor
The hardware is good: the battery lasts a decent time, the sensors are accurate. The app communicated with the device over Wifi. It lets you view the current conditions, change settings and alarms and download data. It will also give you alarms on your phone when conditions reach an alarm threshold or the device disconnects. It is pretty easy to useThey have a cloud service Elitech iCold, that provides the same functionality. The free service provides real time data viewing, remote real-time alarm, and data query and export for 7 days. The premium service, currently $20/year, provides data and query for 3 years, location information, SMS messages, multiple levels of alarm, scheduled backup and more. This is very much commercially oriented. The premium service, for instance, is compatible with FDA regulations regarding electronic records. Medication manufacturers, for instance, can use it to track shipment or storage temperatures.

Works great.
Easy to connect.Accurate readings.Full function app.Full display, no app needed. The way I see it, if you have $100 of food in a freezer and it looses power, fails, etc., this will help you to know before the food is bad. In that case, it has more than paid for itself. With all the features and reliability this unit has, it is a great value.

Good tech, but free "basic" wifi data subscription expires in 2 months :-(
I got this because it comes with a calibration certificate and because the the unit uploads data via wifi to the cloud and the free basic subscription would show me tdata over the internet on my phone. The listing even says "with Free Cloud Service". But not so much.In the app, the "Subscription" tab shows my included free "basic" plan expiring on Jan 7, 2025. Exactly 2 months from now. It's possible that the information is just misleading the the plan won't expire, but for now I have to assume that they mean what they say.Setup could have been easier. The probe is separate and connects with an industrial connector with a rotating barrel, but the connector is jammed up against the unit in a way that doesn't let you get your fingers around the barrel to rotate it.To use the unit you need to download their app and set up an on-line account. Then you need to push the reset button on the back - except it isn't a button, it is one of those annoying holes you are supposed to stick a paperclip in to push and hope you don't miss it and damage the circuit board. These days I don't have paperclips lying around, and no pokey thing was included.I eventually found something that could push the reset switch inside the unit to put it into wifi connect mode. I could not get to pair. So I had to use the Bluetooth mode, to get it to send the set up data to the device for wifi mode. For that, you have to push the reset button twice. That eventually worked. To get data to transmit from the device you have to push the record button on it. This seems to mean that someone local could accidentally turn off data logging and transmission while trying to turn on the home button to turn on the backlight to see the data - the button icons are low contrast and the start stop button is identical in shape and right next to the home button. The USB port is micro SD. They supply a charger and cord.Overall, this unit seems accurate but it and the user experience could be improved. At the moment, it looks like the included free data access may only last 2 months, with only a 7 day retention of data, making this device much more expensive than it appears. And the alarms over SMS cost extra. 5 included, but more will cost you.
