Download was easy, smooth & fast!
I have to admit I am old school where I was so irritated at Turbo Tax that there was no CD to purchase this year; then I saw so many negative reviews with Amazon download issues where I almost went to Turbo Tax site directly to purchase and download from there...but I took a chance with Amazon since their price was significantly lower and I have been with Amazon for so long and very rarely have issues. So glad I stayed with Amazon; the purchase and download was so smooth and so fast ..less than 5 min; the download alone seemed like a minute or less. It was a breeze; in fact faster than putting CD into computer and doing that route. I have to admit I am pretty impressed thus far.

A good (but not perfect) tax preparation applicaiton.
I confess that I have used TT for my taxes for a few decades. But I have had no thoughts to go elsewhere. Does a nice job if you use it more than one year to bring information forward.1 However, if you have to modify you taxes for any reason, there doesn't seem to be a way to correct the information from the previous year. At least, it's not obvious.2 It also does not remember (when you go through a dialog the 2nd time) the choices made the previous time through. (It does remember the dollars you've entered.) This would save me some time but maybe not everyone.3 Would be nice if it put blank pages in odd number of page-forms so that you could print front and back legally for IRS submittals. As a result, it's a pain the print either one page per sheet or go through methodically and print forms to submit.Still a bit of work to do your taxes.Almost perfect!

Simple and easy for filling tax return!
Having been using Turbo tax for many years,it’s my first time to buy the Home and Business version. It add a own section for business. For myself, I don’t feel the big difference between premier and H&B. I probably will just go with Premier next year cause it’s cheaper and fit my tax situation. Overall, Turbox tax is simple, and easy to use.

TurboTax made it easy to see how much I had to send back
Thank you Turbo Tax for making is easy to do our taxes, I think. We got home and business because my honey is a musician and we need to report his earnings and deductions. This walks you thru the process and shows if you have any errors and lets you know your audit risk. I had a few questions and was able to use the help section to find the answers quickly. After purchase I downloaded the program following the instructions sent to me. It downloaded quickly but as we all know, your internet speed may vary. My only complaint is that I still had to pay taxes.

I wish I could give zero stars... since it does not deserve even one star.
I have been using "TurboTax Home & Business" for decades, but this year will be my last. Over the past three years, I’ve meticulously compared TurboTax to other tax software, including FreeTaxUSA, Cash App Tax, TaxSlayer, H&R Block, and others. Each year, I input identical information and options into all the programs for comparison. While TurboTax initially seemed marginally better than most, I chose to file with it because it was well-known and I believed its software would account for every detail accurately. However, over the last three years, TurboTax has consistently caused issues with the mortgage interest I paid. Each time, I had to manually adjust the settings, which resulted in recalculated figures that differed by thousands of dollars. When it comes to taxes, the phrase "money talks" truly applies. Like most people, I prefer receiving a larger refund or paying less. Unfortunately, TurboTax consistently resulted in me paying more or receiving a lower refund compared to other platforms. I also noticed that its "Home & Business" version produced better results in terms of refunds or payments, but I questioned why the lower-tier versions didn’t perform similarly. This year, TurboTax indicated that I owed $4,500, while FreeTaxUSA reported $4,000, and Cash App Tax reported $3,700. Upon reviewing the finalized PDF files from each program, I found identical information across all of them (on the actual paper forms), yet TurboTax’s calculations were inexplicably higher—by nearly $1,000 in some cases. Moreover, TurboTax added a penalty/interest to my IRS balance, despite the fact that I wasn’t late to file and didn’t owe any balances from previous years. None of the other software platforms included this penalty. After three years of careful comparison, I’ve decided I can no longer justify using TurboTax. Not only has it resulted in me giving unnecessary funds to the IRS, but I’ve also wasted money purchasing the software itself. Additionally, the responses to my questions on TurboTax’s user forums were inaccurate, and the IRS later confirmed the correct answers — answers that other tax software platforms provide correctly. For instance, when I inquired int he Forum about whether my mortgage loan qualified as a refinance, their TurboTax "Expert" agents gave incorrect guidance, whereas other platforms handled this detail properly (based on the answer I got directly from the IRS). Ultimately, I opted for Cash App Tax because not only did it save me $1,000 compared to TurboTax, but it was also completely free for all users, regardless of income level. While TurboTax struggled to import my information from PDF files correctly, resulting in numerous manual corrections, other programs imported all the data flawlessly and without errors. Between the frequent glitches and the higher costs (extra money given to the IRS and buying the software), TurboTax no longer makes sense for me. This year’s comparisons confirmed that Cash App Tax is by far the best option.I hope this review proves helpful. Several online platforms, including FreeTaxUSA, Cash App Tax, TaxSlayer, H&R Block, TaxAct, and the IRS website, allow you to create free accounts. You can input your information and numbers to receive live tax estimates without any obligation to file. You can stop at any point before being asked if you're ready to file, giving you the flexibility to review and compare the final numbers across all these platforms. I encourage you to try it yourself and see the results firsthand, rather than relying solely on my advice.
