I had five stitches in my ankle and also a broken foot and shoulderI ordered this bc I dreaded the idea of going to have a doc while I could not safely move around without crazy pain, much less waiting in a waiting room! Ordered, was exactly what I expected. Took one minute to take sutures out (I had paid attention to how the doc had put them in). The tweezers are metal so they worked ok. The snips are blunt but you should be able to safely get the suture lifted up to snip without cutting yourself. Saves time and money if you don’t have complications with your sutures.

Not the best quality, but totally reasonable for the price. I struggled to get under most the stitches, but after some pulling and digging, I was able to. Happy to keep them, and for the price, they are well worth it. But had hoped for slightly better quality.

I’ve been an Amazon Prime member since 2004 and purchase tons of products monthly. I hate writing bad reviews and rarely need to, but you can seriously go to the $ store and get better scissors and tweezers than are supplied in this kit. I’d hoped to use these to remove my dog’s stitches but they were not sharp enough to cut the stitch knots. It was frustrating for me and my dog. The negative reviews on these are 100% correct. If you want to waste money go ahead and purchase these. If not, I’d suggest looking elsewhere. Maybe you have a sharp little pair of scissors (e.g. hair cutting scissors) and a pair of tweezers. If so, I’d just try disinfecting with alcohol and using those. If you want blunt head scissors, try using the kids scissors that sell from 50 cents to a dollar. This kit is worthless and a total waste of money. Sorry!

Not sure if i would recommend this set. I am an RN and my son had sutures placed between his eyebrows. I tried removing them after 6 days with this kit and the tweezers would not grasp the sutures well and kept slipping between the tweezers and the scissors were to big and thick to even use them. The scissors simply would not fit under the suture. I ended up having to buy a nail manicure kit from the dollar store and used the tweezers and cuticle scissors and it worked much better than this kit. At least the product was fairly cheap but not sure if i would recommend because it was a waste of money for my situation.
