I was a bit surprised when the package came and it clearly wasn't big enough to hold a lampshade. Sure enough, the lamp comes with a DIY lampshade!The lamp and shade were surprisingly easy to put together. The pole comes in several parts that need to be screwed together. If you prefer a single part, this isn’t the lamp for you. The seams don't show, so it’s OK (to me) for an inexpensive lamp.The shade has small clips around the edges that attach to the frame. You can see the bumps on the exterior of the shade, so I’ll probably pick up a better quality shade to replace it.Overall, it’s a nice looking lamp for the price and a good addition to my living room.
