Getting a pull-up resistance band + this treadmill was a game-changer for me
This is pretty much exactly what I was looking for (given my budget). I wanted a manual treadmill that was the size of a walking pad. I previously had an electric walking pad, but I never felt that steady on it - nor did I drag it out often because it was so heavy. This is convenient. I have it standing up next to the wall - not sure it would fit under a couch unless you had quite a tall couch. I wheel it out on its little wheels a few feet and set it up in front of the TV for walking sessions then fold and wheel it back after. I am storing it the same place as my electric one was stored and already I have used it way more than I ever used that one in the two years I had it.A great tip I read was to get a pull-up assist resistance band and loop it around the front of the handle apparatus and have it around you so you can walk hands-free or one-handed more easily. This has made my use more enjoyable and I feel less like I am bearing down over the handles and feel steadier. I am also able to swing either or both arms while doing this for a more natural walking posture.High quality - feels stable and like it will last.

Good qualiy, sturdy
It came with about a million pieces however my husband said it was very easy to put together. Its bigger than I thought, very sturdy and seems well built. Very quiet when in use. The incline is quite steep I thought for a walking tredmill but I'm sure Ill get used to it the more I use it. Seems like good quality for the price

Surprisingly sturdy for the price
fairly sturdy construction given the price (though obviously it's a 'basic' treadmill with no 'bells and whistles').Suggest using a 'proper' ring or socket spanner for the bolts holding the uprights to the base as they need to be done up pretty tightly to stop them wobbling and the spanner that comes with it isn't really up to the job. Putting it together was pretty straightforward (took 10 minutes). The only problem I've found so far is that it's got a fairly steep incline and it comes with the belt tension set quite low so it has a habit of wanting to summarily throw you off the back as soon as you get the belt moving! I've found it much more useable if you put the belt tension up a bit and reduce the slope by a couple of inches by putting wood blocks under the casters at the bottom, but that's personal preference, others may find it fine 'as is'

Backwards Walking
I bought this to convert in to a Backwards Walking treadmill. It was easy to assemble for its original use. To convert it for backwards Walking and Sledge pushing you need to add resistance. The easiest way to do this is to leave off the flywheel covers, then add a door wedge with felt stuck on, into the gap between the fly wheel and the frame (See picture). I have also added Pipe Insulation to the back-bar of the handles to rest against for backwards walking (See picture). The last optional step is to reverse the angle of the handles so the back rest is lower, so you can rest your bum against it. This requires a bit of DIY skills as the stabilising screw that keeps the treadmill locked in position for use or storage is now on the wrong side of the belt. To solve this you need to drill 2 new holes in the metal frame for the screw to go through. I have done this (See picture) but it is optional.

Don’t buy one
Adjustable tension you can not adjust so the belt goes to one side stored in shed for e bay

noisey
not the most free wheeling treadmill & a little noisey even after oiling but giving the price i suppose you could not expect anything else

Good option if you are fed up with motorised models
I bought this after failing with various different motorised treadmills. I am heavy and just under the the borderline of the weight limits for most regular motorised treadmills (not the heavy-duty ones) and time after time they blew up on me after around the three-month mark following 5-day per week, average 40 mins per day useage.Opting for a machine that has no motor has definitely been the way forward, and having used motorised treadmills at home and in the gym for around 25 years now, this definitely gives a much harder workout, as you have to put in all the work and the machine belt won't move unless you do. There is no assistance from the motor so much more effort is needed. I am of above average fitness with strong leg muscles, but I really needed to get used to the new muscle groups that were engaged using this mechanical unit. An extremely good buy and highly recommended. In response to some of these reviews, the incline seems high at first if you are used to a flat bed, but it is not really and is easy to get used to.

Very good
Incline means you feel it in your bum and tummy aswell as less after a time.Folds up discretely. Will need to use treadmill lubricant every now and again. Have had the same bottle for months. Probably cheaper than electricity or commuting to gym etc.
