Solid construction, good value.
I purchased one of these used for around $25. Came with a few dings on the handle but hey it’s a tool doesn’t bother me. Great addition to my bug out bag, thin, lightweight, compact and definitely sharp. Even for the normal sale price I’d call it a good value.

Bang for buck, can't be beat
This is an easy to justify SHTF / bug-out / survival hatchet. It's not likely to win any awards from world class backpacking reviewers, but as far as tossing something in your pack that comes with a decent edge, keeps a decent edge, and is easy to maintain a decent edge, all while still being reasonably balanced between "heavy enough to chip/chop" and "light enough to swing repeatedly without getting tired".So for something to keep in a survival bag, this certainly fits the bill, and doesn't break the bank. You true amateurs and experienced campers alike would be wise to consider this one.You elitist backpacker types where nothing weighs more than 8 ounces can keep on scrolling and not lose any sleep. This thing is great but almost certainly not up to your pretentious and impossibly high standards.

Decent pack hatchet with some limitations.
Pretty decent hatchet to throw in your hunting pack or day pack. Does have some limitations though. I would not use it to replace a smaller traditional hatchet. It would be good for splitting the pelvis of deer or other game animals but as far as splitting wood it does not work the best because its so thin. The weight distribution is a little weird but not too bad. Works well for carving and somewhat ok for de-limbing.It has its place just depends on what your needs are. This one will just live in my hunting pack.

handy
It's narrower than you might expect for a hatchet, and that means its striking surface on the back side is a little more difficult to use. It doesn't have the characteristic wedge profile and heft. But this thing fits into the hand very nicely, and its light weight is the chief attraction. Think of it as more of a hand machete. It will be good for backpacking or canoeing. Good for making tinder, for carving tent/tarp stakes, good for light chopping work to make camp for the evening. Bought it for a canoe trip.

Gift for Son-in-law
Son-in-law does a lot of motorcycle camping and this hatchet packs nicely without taking up lots of space.

It's small
I'm giving it 5 stars even though it's smaller than I imagined but that's my fault I'm not a dimensions kinda guy and it's in the print. Only real downside is it's made in China and the handle Is fairly small (I even have small hands for being 6'3") otherwise it came sharp, good condition, lightweight. I wouldn't expect to use this for heavy duty stuff considering the weight of the hatcher but I plan to use it for smaller crafts. Overall nice little hatchet to add to my collection no regrets.

Great Quality for Price!
This product functions exactly as intended. However, I seriously recommend sharpening as soon as you take it out of the box as mine came in sharp, but not enough so to make chopping even smaller green limbs very well. Also, I HIGHLY recommend you wear some sort of gloves to protect you hands from blistering as the rubber grip will destroy your hands if you intend on using this for a prolonged period of time. Other than that, the weight feels great in your hand. The grip isn't as intricately designed as proclaimed. Perhaps a handle with more of a natural curvature to suit the shape of the hand when closed. Maybe finger holes to help you keep a firm grip on it when not using gloves. A plastic material probably would’ve worked out well. But yeah, sharpen before use. Even if it comes sharp already.
