We have a battle of flower ownership each year with our neighborhood deer! They seem to think we spend a lot of time and money growing flowers for them to eat instead of making an attractive yard. I’ve tried other sprays and granules, but Deer Out is making a difference. It smells minty and isn’t harmful to pets. I like that the set comes with a full, ready to use, spray bottle along with the concentrated refill solution. I make sure to spray after a few days of consistent rain, but it seems to have holding power after a small singular shower. Earlier this summer, it was so nice to come home after we’d been away for two weeks and find there were still flowers in our yard! An additional positive note about the seller is their great customer service! When we first received our order I noticed the spray bottle was damaged during shipping and a replacement was sent almost immediately!

Deer absolutely don't like this--I'm in deer country every day they visit and eat all my deer proof plants--well not this year--they don't go near my plants now--will buy again--includes lots and lots of refill amount--

Needed something that did not stink so much of rotten eggs. This is a great alternative and the deer do not like it. Love the smell so it does not stink out my neighbors. Even after a rain, the deer avoided the plants. We got the spray and concentrate and it should last all season for us. Thank you for a great product.

Works great. Re apply every 4 or 5 days and reapply after a rain .

I'm in the Cleveland area of Northeast Ohio. I received this on May 11th, and applied it immediately. Wasn't sure if it would be a giant waste of my money, but since we have a heavy deer population in my area, thought it was worth a try. The scent was fine and not offensive to me. It was a sort of odd combination of peppermint and pumpkin spice. I got the starter kit which includes a spray bottle and a refill. Not gonna lie, if you use the spray bottle, your hand will get tired pretty fast. If you have more than a few plants to do, you'll want to get a different sprayer to avoid the hand fatigue and cramping. I only did 6 plants and the spray bottle was really hard on my hand. Also, the spray bottle it comes in drips during application, so the product ends up all over your hands. The scent is hard to get off, so you'll want to wear gloves. ...I bought this product because normally my yard is a salad bar for the deer in my neighborhood. Last year, most of my plants were completely destroyed, as the deer ate every leaf and flower, leaving just an ugly stub behind. They were particularly voracious of my hostas, and by early to mid-June, it was a massacre, with barely a leaf left behind. As I said, I applied this on May 11th, when my emerging plants were medium sized. We have had extremely heavy rain since and I never reapplied it. It is now June 24th and my plants remain uneaten. They are doing extremely well and are thriving. Every leaf is in tact and my plants are gigantic! Not even a sign of a nibble! At first I thought that maybe the deer had just somehow overlooked my yard this year leaving my plants undamaged. But NO, I have gone outside multiple times since to find deer lounging in my yard, right by my treated hostas, and these plants that they would normally devour remain untouched. My yard looks so pretty with my plants uneaten, and nothing like the hideous slaughter scene from last year. While I find this product expensive for what it is, it has worked beautifully after only one application. I am delighted! I highly recommend it!

I just received and used the spray bottle today. I have not had a chance to determine if the product deters deer from eating my flowers; however, the sprayer on the spray bottle is VERY MESSY and difficult to spray. The solution runs down my hands more than being sprayed onto the plants. I will have to used a different sprayer to get better coverage so I do not recommend the spray bottle.

he deer have enjoyed the roses, geraniums, wildflowers, and last summer, the "deer resistant" gladiola. Trying again this year I sought advice from neighbors on NextDoor. A number of them recommended this product. We'll see......with products used in previous years it seemed like I was only adding salad dressing for the deer to enjoy. So far, so good. No bite marks on the gladiola.
