The black handle can be removed but not easily, it’s not designed to be removable but can be dismantled

Does this connect on to the boxes from the MakPac range?

Yes it does, there are two type of boxes. One that have fixed handle that you slide into a groove then can lock with two clips, and for the second which has the four clips, now in this case you'll be able to put this on top but would need a box with the groove to stack beyond that.

I think your dimentions are completely wrong. Initially maybe inches not cm. Defo not 10-10-10cm?

The dimensions of the one I have when closed are, according to my ruler (I can't find my tape measure, which isn't in the toolbox like it should be, if you can believe it) are: L: 39.5 cm H: 16 cm W: 29cm.
