A vegetable that requires patience to grow as it can take 1-2 years to become harvestable after planting bare asparagus roots, but these plants can produce harvests for a decade or longer. All Mary Washington roots which I bought from the Nursery are successfully growing right now. Initially, they were looking like 3-5 years old well developed roots, very healthy.

Not sure if it is normal to split asparagus crowns in half but about 10 out of 16 were half. Got an extra one-thank you. I planted anyway for a fall planting and will see what happens in the spring. Healthy plants.

The package arrived sooner than expected, well packaged and the plants in great condition. An extra plus was the additional plant given for free. The only thing missing was a plant and/or care guide. I will definitely recommend this company
