T-H Marine - 08-0200 ZL-15-DP Z-LAUNCH Watercraft Launch Cord - 15',Black

Good Concept - Weak assembly - needs stronger end fastening.
The ends are just secured by a thin gauge stainless stamping with 4 dimples punched into it for grip, and some very thin heat shrink over the stamping. If pulled on even by hand, you can see that the live end of the cord begins to lose its grip. I took the ends apart, purchased 2 - 1 1/8 in Gardner Bender electrical heat shrinks, and some Thomas & Betts TY527MX Cable Tie Ty-Rap Cable ( 5 for each end ) and reassembled each end. They are now more secure and after ty-trapping and compressing the cord a bit and then heat shrinking for protection ( nd that heat shrink has glue inside of it as well) I have confidence that the cord will not come apart because of poor assembly.

making launching your boat a breeze
awesome product, makes launching my bass boat solo a lot easier, make sure if you use this product hat you have protection on your hull! pulling your boat to shore without this protection can damage it! T-H marine has videos for this product to show how easy and efficient it is to use. as an avid bass fisherman this helps more then you can believe

Works as described
It performs well and works as described. However, the general premise is if you want to drag your boat back to shore after self unloading. I don't know many boaters that want to drag their boat back onto a concrete loading ramp whether it is aluminum or fiberglass. I just use it to drag my boat from trailer to dock and vice versa and for that I give it four stars. I took off one star for the design intention.

Helps me out so much
This is the greatest thing ever to launch your boat by yourself. Sturdy construction hope it lasts me long time. I do ALL my fishing but myself so it is invaluable to me. The best!

Mine was complete junk-broke on first launch
I have a 20 ft fiberglass bass boat and I don't think this thing is made for heavier boats. I backed down very slowly and stopped on the ramp. Released extra strap as instructed. The boat slowly drifted off and fully extended the cable. As soon as I started to drive up the ramp the strap snapped. Thankfully the momentum changed and the boat drifted to shore. I would only trust this for small craft or aluminum.

Love it. I use it for my 18 ft bowrider and it is perfect. High strength and resistant. I use it in saltwater and haven’t had any problems. Coils up nicely too. Good buy.

Quality lacking
Came frayed on one end, will likely be fine for the small boat I'm using it with but doesn't inspire much confidence in the product.

works much better than a static rope
allows the boat to drift back off of the trailer and gently pulls boat back to shore. don't forget to lock your winch when attaching the launch cord to winch and boat at launching.
