Q: will this work with the Wen?

I have it installed with my WEN 8" slow speed grinder. It works great. I did have to raise the base 1" above the mounting board.

Q: How far above the wood base do the grinder wheels have to be?

Minimum clearance above the base of the tool is 1.5 inch to the bottom of wheel guards on the grinder. If the base is close to the grinding wheel then you need 2.25 inch to clear the handle that clamps the tool holder to the base piece. My grinder is a Ryobi and I had to put a spacer block below it. Used a piece of 2 x 6, but had to be careful not to interfere with flanges on base.

Q: I saw Don Lewis's review and wonder if new (or improved) version of flatform is applied or not.

Have not seen this version in our shop yet. Still use the original production model!

Q: What are the instructions and settings for round nose scrapers?

This tool comes with a DVD and complete instruction manual written by people who use this tool. I recommend this tool!
