A decent 13amp plug with no issues I can see.
In my lifetime growing up in the Uk, 13amp plugs were once not included with electrical items you would buy, like kettles and hair dryers for instance. You'd have to buy your own and fit it yourself so most people would know how to do this, despite often doing so using a butter knife or similar, as a screwdriver. The quality of the 13amp plugs you would buy during those times were generally decent enough quality although there were a few poorly made ones that would be on the edge of being dangerous as they would break so easily, often exposing bare brass pins or wires. In that respect and in my experience, nothing has much changed since then other than electrical items had to be fitted with a 13amp plug (a good EU directive if I remember correctly). So, these days I suspect less people not only not know how to wire a 13amp plug, but wouldn't be able to identify what is a good one or a bad one. I would class this as perfectly good enough for the money and probably the best you can do for your money at under £2. If you are planning on making an extension cable with one and are going to be travelling around with it a lot (for a band member for instance) then I would then recommend a duraplug of similar hard wearing rubberised plug. For everyone else, you can't go wrong with this in my opinion

A good safe plug.
This review is for the 3a Masterplug plug. All 3 different available fuse sizes will all use exactly the same plug.As you would expect from Masterplug, all relevant British safety standards have been met. (Photo)All the pins are made from brass and the fuse holder is copper. The fuse holder is good and tight, with no movement of the fuse. The supplied fuse is a Bussmann. One of the best fuses you can buy.The cord grip is good and strong and will happily hold all cable flex up to 1.5mm.The plug itself is made from 2mm plastic. It's not the sturdiest I've seen, but more than adequate for domestic use.It comes with a paper cover, that shows you how to wire a plug, should that be necessary for you.Overall, this is a good simple domestic plug, that will be more than adequate for most internal uses. For use on something like a lawnmower, I would personally opt for a more substantial rubberised plug.I hope you found this review helpful.

Okay plug, but why the huge hole?
UK plugs are never pretty, this one looks as good or bad as the rest of them. It does seems well made, very easy to use, does the trick. I would have given it full stars, but why the huge hole? (see photo) This is a 3 Amp plug for inside use, nobody is ever going to use it with cables as thick as a small finger.
