Best Painter's Tub I've Used
I love this brush tub. I had one that I misplaced and I tore through my home looking for it. After months I gave up and just bought it again because I love it that much. Five days later I found my original one but I'm keeping both of them. I can now use both of them and have one for my dark colors and one for my light colors so my water goes longer. Now, I've tried so many paintbrush bathes. I have the round one, I have the glass jar with sponge at the bottom and the list goes on. After using them all I love this one even more. The top piece of it comes off and it's a sealed compartment that can store paint in separated compartments of if you turn it the other way it is an open area the size of the container. That means you can have many paint colors not touching, put the lid on, the colors will stay there and not dry out. I've had acrylic paint (liquitex heavy body and many others) in that compartment for over three weeks and the paint was still damp and not dried out. I live in the Sierra's which is dry too and most of my paints dry quickly when I'm working so I'm proof this container is worth the whole price of the tub. Next, inside the tub is three areas: an areas to clean paint off your brush by moving it back and forth over ridges and the other two compartments can be a second the third rinse of it can be an area to wet your brush with clean water or add water from it to your paints that isn't polluted with any color. I will admit that I've used dirty water before to thin out my paint and I always regret it. However, when I'm painting I don't want to get up and get clean water so those compartments and having three is really wonderful and helps the creativity flow by allowing a better work flow.If you are debating at getting this unit let me add that it stores well because it's not round which can take up lots of space if you are short on it. Yes, you could use an old cup or up cycle some containers to be your paint brush holder. I have some of those too. However, this container holds extra brushes on the sides so a brush can air dry without touching the anything, it holds paint you are working with and you can seal that paint up so it doesn't dry out, it has multiple compartment, and the plastic material is very durable and a pleasant neutral color. This is a great, great gift for a student painter all the way up to a professional. I've seen this container in the background of many youtube videos with professional painters using.

I LOVE THIS SOOOO MUCH!!
I keep reading these reviews touting this, or that item, and I find them invaluable! I try to make good decisions about our money. What I don't appreciate are the "one word answers! " ie: good, great, etc. However with this, I was given, for the most part, clear reviews with a lot of feedback. My own experience has been wonderful. Before, I had my brushes in an old large medication container! It served the purpose, barely. And for my rinse water, you may have guessed, yet another medication contain, for clean water I used a small glass dish. I know, pitiful, huh? Then, I saw the Loew Cornell, Brush Tub! After reading the reviews, I ordered it. When I received it I made use of it immediately and it has forever changed the way I paint. It helps keep me organized. When you know where everything is you're more relaxed, and I think you paint better. I can soak my brushes without fear of ruining them, due to their unique system. The slots are sized for a variety of brushes, on both sides, without the unit tipping over. And there are two clean water containers besides the one for brush soaking/cleaning. Although I haven't had the opportunity to utilize the top, I love the design. There's a place to mix and hold your colors if you stop, (I read that it held acrylics for a few weeks!). I am soooo impressed with this company and the two products I've tried. And the best part is, it's well made and the price, a nominal sum, for what you're receiving. So there you have it, all I have to say, for now; and it's definitely not a one word review!

Does the job nicely
I'm happy with this water brush bucket I do water coloring and I was going to get the smaller round one but I want to get into acrylic soon so I figured that the smaller one wouldn't be as great and the water would get really dirty really fast so I got this one and I feel like I made the right choice for me I don't have a tone of space and I only need one waterbucket so this is perfect I don't use a tone of brushes so there are more than enough holes for what I do use and what I like most is that I can make three separate places for water so I can make sure my brush is extra clean or I can just have 2 it's all up to you and what u like or need I also like the little palette on the lid I use it with acrylic it's not perfect but it works for me and I can close it when I need to it's not air tight but it will work in a pinch... there were 2 brush holes I had to fix due to a little piece of plastic was hanging over but it was an easy fix all in all I would definitely recommend for people who do large paintings or acrylic or some type of thick paint if you do just small watercolor paintings I'd go with the smaller round one but that's strictly for saving space since this one is roughly about the size of a iPad mini

Oh, Happy Day, I Love This Brush Tub, It Is Almost Perfect!
A place for clean water, a place to clean the brushes, a built in sectioned palette, as well as a palette with no sections for paint that can be closed and saved, tilted interior on one side so brush bristles don't get smooshed, and on the other side, "steps" for cleaning brushes. The exterior has a variety of holes for standing brushes upright and the entire thing is washable. A very small bottle brush might help to clean out the grooved steps inside. The only thing I don't love is that if you pick this piece up with brushes standing in the holes, the brushes may fall through, as there is no base. I'd gladly pay a dollar or two more for a snap off base, sort of like a well, or drip pan that would keep the brushes from falling through, as well as keep water from dripping. You know, something maybe the same width as the largest outer edge of the container. Otherwise, I am tickled!

Perfect tub for watercolor
Love this tub! It cleans brushes so wonderfully! I thought it kinda silly to buy it at first but wanted to conserve space, from using recycled tubs for my water and thought this just might help in cleaning my brushes. It's awesome! Best buy!
