really easy to read and understand study guide that will get you through the exams
Sybex has been around a long time. They are probably the number 2 exam book provider after Microsoft. However in my opinion where they beat Microsoft is that it the information is a lot more accessible. As in its easier to understand. Microsoft books have a tendency to go into too much depth and you can end up spending an entire evening on a couple of pages of a microsoft book. Sybex is more practical. It has a definite starting point and reading them is a bit like going through a series of exercises. Very easy to understand and you just follow along in your locally installed version of the software. Where Sybex falls down compared to Microsoft is you don't get a copy of the software with the 3 month trial licence. For that reason I have taken away one star. However in terms of covering the objectives and being a really easy to read and understand study guide that will get you through the exams, Sybex is number one in my opinion. So all in all I highly recommend this new Sybex study guide. And as we all know its not an either or choice of qualifications or experience. You need both and this will help you stay ahead of the pack!If this review was helpful please click yes

A valuable resource for both students and consumers.
This review concerns the MCSA Windows 10 Study Guide: Exam 70-698, Print edition, Price at review £26.89.Having purchased and used previous versions of these manuals and those published by Microsoft for Windows 95 and 98 I was interested to see how they have progressed.Running to 553 pages including a thirteen page table of contents plus a comprehensive thirty-four page Index my first thought was that this volume is somewhat smaller than my previous versions - I assume that is down to the latest OS being much more compact and more user friendly.Whilst this volume is expressly designed to prepare the ‘student’ for eventual sitting of the MCSA, as a consumer i have found it to be the ultimate User Guide for the OS.In addition to the printed book, which includes many Exercises - online Sample Tests, Flashcards and Videos etc can be found at the publishers web site.An extremely valuable resource for both students and others presented in a logical, easy style with many illustrations to accompany the text.

Superb resource for students and professionals.
This is the expert's study guide for this exam and also a superb refresher, reference and guide for qualified IT techs who want to brush up their skills. My oldest grandson is just starting his career in the field and he was thrilled to have this book, for work and for college. Not only does it contain top quality, clear and easy to understand information, the added study aids, from flashcards to practice exams and in-chapter exercises and scenarios, it is comprehensive and easy to work through. His lecturers had only recommended the Microsoft literature but this really supports and fleshes it out so much more. Really worth considering if this is your field. Much different from my day when the hard drive was a floppy disc and all you got was the DOS manual to work from, which was about as clear as mud, unless you were already a programmer. This study guide is the opposite to that and worth every penny.

Easy to be fatigued reading this
This book contains all the relevant information to pass the Microsoft Certified Systems Admin exam and it does a very good job of covering all the relevant information which I'll cover the main topics below. HOWEVER I am surprised (and the reason I deducted a star) is how outdated the presentation is. If you've ever studied recently for any professional exams then you get used to highlighted areas for key notes and colour pictures and other ways of presenting information to stop you getting study fatigue and this has none of it. It's endless black and white printed material. I honestly think they could have put a little more effort into that side of the book and it's not cheap either !!!It does cover:Implementing and Installing WindowsConfiguring Devices and DriversConfiguring and supporting Core Services, Networks and StorageConfiguring Data Access and useageMaintaining and managing windowsMonitoring WindowsConfiguring Systems and Data Recovery. The exam itself is a little tricky and it's easy to fail the first couple of times as sometimes the answers to questions can be so similar you really do end up guessing.

Comprehensive
As my wife is our home’s IT manager (I confess, that’s her self-appointed title… but she knows way more than me, so I couldn’t disagree even if I wanted to (I don’t!)) she’s found this to be an excellent albeit an overly in-depth guide for home purposes.

Study other books as well and be better prepared
Not perfect I did notice some errors and stuff left out for some reason and even a dead link, as for an exam book I would definitely study other windows 10 books as well not go on this one alone but a great starting point though.
