Sturdy and what I was looking for

These are great for freezing portion-sized amounts of home made pesto and chicken stock.

Nice small size, good for freezing and the tops are firm fitting!

I bought these as a dirty Santa gift for Christmas Eve. We didn’t go to that side of the family so I kept them. They only held 1 spatula of red beans & rice per container.

perfect size for smaller portions

I only use glass containers in the freezer or fridge. This one cup size is perfect for me. I cook in bulk and freeze the food for the next couple of weeks or longer so I don't have to cook from scratch every day. They are pretty sturdy. My cat has knocked a few off the counter on to the tile floor and they don't break. I take them from the freezer, run water over them from the tap with lid on, put in microwave for 45 seconds to one minute without the lid to defrost. Then I either put food in a pan for the oven, or on the stove top or continue heating in microwave. Works for me!

I needed to stop using so many ziploc bags. My plastic storage containers have been replaced with silicone bags and glass containers. I bought a set of 3 cup pyrex containers to store leftovers and cuts of meat. But I needed smaller containers for single servings vegetables and ground beef. These fit the bill. They're easy to clean and you can see what is stored in them. I haven't used them in the oven or microwave. But they work well in the refrigerator and freezer. As I identify the sizes I still need, I'll be buying another set of pyrex food storage containers.

I have found the 1 cup pyrex dish a perfect size for smaller amounts of left over food or for mixing a sauce for later use. The lid makes it an ideal dish to use in lunches - no leaks in the lunch bag.I have several Pyrex storage dishes and this 1 cup completed my set. I recommend the Pyrex storage dishes.

This size was not available at our local stores, happy.
