Used Jura Espesso Machine - Not NEW
Had purchased new, never been used as described in the listing. When arrived it had beans ground in the holder and had definitely been used prior to it's arrival. I now know how to handle scammers on E-Bay and other sites. This seller was not honest and will never repeat business, had me send out to local address without paying for original shipping as well. Horrible experience. I have another machine at home and Jura is a great brand without question, no issues with my other Jura, just the seller in this instance.

I love, love, love this machine!
I love, love, love this machine! Best ~$2,000 I ever spent!! It saved me countless dollars on Sbux and DD lattes. Jura is also an amazing company. I've had this machine for 3 years and mailed it for maintenance. I had the machine back in my kitchen in less than 72 hours. Thank you, Jura! For the curious - it makes amazing lattes and also great coffee. You can pour it over ice and make iced lattes and iced coffee. Or, just put it in your thermos and off to work you go :)

too expensive...coffee okay
Obviously the previous reviewer has not tried coffee from a semi automatic machine which hands down provides better crema, better aromas, and better tasting coffee. No matter who you talk to, anyone who has a semi automatic machine will tell you that their coffee is MUCH better than a super automatic. Also, if you really do like this machine (it is a very beautiful machine), get the S7, for it is the same price, but has infinitely more features. This machine is too expensive. Put it into perspective, 1800 dollars for a coffee machine, hmm...what could you buy with 1800 dollars? I don't think I need to go through a list, but I think that gets the point across. This machine will yield no better espresso than any other machine above 500 dollars. Capressos are just outrageously expensive and I have no explanation to why. Some of the features on this machine are useless and you shouldn't even pay for them. For example, it allows you to choose from mild, medium, strong, and extra strong coffee. The mild and the medium taste worse than drip and there is no crema on them, the strong and extra strong are good, BUT NOT GREAT.The only machines that can provide awesome coffee is the semi automatics. Convenience really isn't an argument considering it takes about 3 minutes with a super and 5 with a semi. And you can even get semi's with pods to make brewing easier so all you have to do is put the pod in the portafilter, and turn the brew switch on.One last thing, before you buy it, go out to a store and see it, for you will be surprised with the size. The looks of the front of the machine are nice, the size of it is tremendous.

Great when it works
Purchased this around 2007 brand new. The display would malfunction intermediately from the get go. Made a mistake and did not service it under warranty. A few years later, the display died completely. I wanted to replace the display myself, but the company refused to sell me the display. They forced me to send the unit for repair for $280 Another 2 years later, the unit started to leak. I took the covers off and discovered that when they serviced the unit, they did not reinstall the water heating unit properly, it was not inserted into a slot that holds it correctly. I phoned the customer service only to be told I was the first one to whom that had happened. At this time I had roughly 1550 cups on the unit. After searching and searching, I discovered that the leak was due to a water tank inlet gasket. Since the company does not sell any parts, they want me to send it in for repair for another $280 The gasket is available online for under $10 shipped. Bottom line is: the unit is great when it works, when it breaks, the only option is to send it in for repair which will offset you by $280 even if you are mechanically/technically inclined and all you need is few minor parts to fix the problem.

got what I paid for
I bought my F9 some 5 years ago. I bought it 'factory refurbished' for $800 + $225 for an all inclusive insurance. It roke about 2 years after that, i sent it for repair (for the cost of shipping only) and has worked since, with a few quirks. It fits my taste in expresso (not very strong) and only my wife uses the milk frother. The frother does not consistently produce a lot of froth and has to be coaxed into it. Heating the milk requires 2 cycles of steam and even that does not produce a lot of froth. The machine is loud and makes a lot of clicking and clucking, once i got used to it - it became therapeutic :)I am happy overall with my purchase but i can understand why people who paid full price (>$2000) would be disappointed, even mad.I make sure I service the machine promptly when it requires and I do not use a filter (which makes for more frequent cleaning and scaling cycles...).I use it for a daily average of 5-10 dual shots daily. This machine is not industrial strength but the main components (pump, mechanics) are reliable.I feel that overall I got my money's worth.

Total scam, I'll never buy this again
I bought this machine from Amazon.com. It actually never worked good. All advices from customer support were a crap. It produces weak coffee at any settings and maintenance costs are crazy. I did my best to solve the problem but finally will have to sell it cause now I'm in despair.

A Phenom Price for a Refurbished Espresso Center
What a great price on this refurbished Jura Capresso Impressa F9. Our previous Jura Capresso lasted 10 years and made thousands of cups (sorry no counter on that model). I knew a refurbished model from this same maker would be a good bet. And sure enough it has proven to be just that. We have had it a month and have already made well over 250 cups with not one complaint. THANK YOU for making this product more affordable to the public with the refurbished price. During the economic recession we have been cutting cost when ever possible and I truly appreciate that this product was made available at such an exceptional price.
