Fixed my door problem.
I bought this because my new door didnt close as tight as the handle i replaced. My new door didnt come with the extra little piece on the striker part like this one has so it was just that much too loose for my automatic deadbolt to work. This is because i changed from a lockable handle to a non lockable. This returned me to the door gap i had previously. Picture i submitted is the one im replacing.

Did the job!
I had the same problem of the bolt not working when pushing the door shut. Much easier then futzing around with trying one of the temporary fixes.
