Very solid and fluid, more than capable for the job, considering how much it costs its an excellent deal.

Looks sturdy, the movements are very fluid, no friction or jumps at all. Oil is probably very thick, which is exactly as expected. Used in about +5°C, I will see how temperatures below zero impact the fluidity of movements.The only issue I have, after first 3 hours of using the head there is a small leak around the base part of the head.

As part of my college studies for HND photography we had to make a movie. I tried to do panning and tilting with just the handles on my tripod but they proved to be too jumpy. The tripod head handle ball allowed me to make very slow and smooth transitions without it jerking around. I will be making more use of this item when making more videos in the future.

Generally a good product. It is sturdy enough. The big downfall is the small clamping thumbscrew to secure the rotation of the whole head is NOT up to the job. When it is screwed down as tight as I can get it, there is some rotation possible of the tripod head. All other functions appear adequate.

I bought this video head because neither of my tripods provided a smooth action for video. It turned out to be a very good purchase being much superior for that use. Even better, as a regular bird watcher, I could attach it to the removable centre column of my K&F Concept tripod, and using a Velbon Hide Clamp, obtain a portable but very stable video platform on excursions to RSPB or Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust sites. It's not very lightweight but if you are using a sale or large camcorder, that's a positive advantage. On those birdwatching trips, Ive used it with a Canon 700D and ESF 55- 250 Zoom lens and it works very well with that comboThe downside is the few minutes taken up swapping heads and attaching the panning handle, as it won't store in its box with it attached. It also attaches to my Grotto Monopod but unless that can be fixed to a stable support, it doesn't work wellYou will also need to check that your existing tripod head is detachable, or if you intend to buy the legs and centre column separately, that the screw threads match. It's not a major problem if they don't, as adapters are easily available through Amazon or from the dwindling number of photography shops.

For the price this is excellent, I cant believe how strong and sturdy this is. you can angle your camera wherever you need it without it moving and I have the Nikon p1000 so it passed all its tests

Excellent piece of equipment in general for the price, but very difficult to clamp such that it will not rotate at all on the tripod.

Der Stativkopf macht exakt das was er soll. Ermöglicht die gefühlvolle Einstellung der Kamera mit abschließendem fixieren. Die Gewinde der beiden Hebel benötigen meiner Meinung nach etwas Fett damit sie sich sensibel drehen lassen, ansonsten ist das Teil solide gefertigt und stabil. Aber: Definitiv nichts für Einsätze bei denen es auf Gewichtsersparnis ankommt und man jedes Teil der Fotoausrüstung tragen muß - Stabilität hat auch Gewicht 😉. Ich freu mich aber: Genau das was ich gesucht habe um die Sony HX400V im Telemodus einfacher als mit dem Kugelkopf auszurichten.

Nice solid head. It is a bit sticky due to the grease they use(more like glue than grease. Wear gloves). I took mine apart and degreased with wd40. Then use any good gear grease. Smooth as silk. Good quality materials.

Muy buen producto. Lo compranos junto a otros materiales para montar un pequeño estudio de video en el colegio y su calidad no me sorprendió ya que previamente había adquirido un trípode de esta misma marca y calidad del que quedé muy satisfecho.Es muy suave en movimiento y no se atasca, siendo muy fluido. Tiene bastante resistencia al movimiento pero esto hace que no vaya a trompicones.Pesa bastante ya que es metálico. Personalmente, me lo lleve casa para probarlo con el trípode mencionado (al que se ajusta a la perfección) y aunque es para video lo probé con un telescopio (unos 5kg). Perfecto. Sin ningún tipo de problemas.Me compraré uno para mi!

installée immédiatement après la réception rapide sur mon pied ce qui m'a permis de réaliser des photos précises actuelles d'après des photos de 1920 environ permettant de visualiser l'évolution, la tête rotule m'a donné entière satisfaction.cordialement
