Can it be used to extinguish shop fires?

Yes but works even better to extinguish a fire if you can put the fire out 3 1/2 days before it begins. I actually had to extinguish a fire in my shop off of booger branch rd the other day and had to use mine once I realized I didn't have any butter in the refrigerator at my other shop downtown.

After washing does the filler lump up inside ??

It doesn't lump up but do NOT tumble dry this with heat or the sherpa side will be ruined. Only tumble dry with cold air fluff setting or hang/line dry.
