I bought a Shaveway Badger brush May 2023 for $13.99 that claimed it would give me the best shave of my life. I returned it a week later and ordered a Grandslam Finest badger brush for $15.99. Better, not great. After reading a few articles recently on the web about Badger brush quality, I decided to buy this Silvertip BadgerHair set on March 9. Bingo, worth the hype. Very soft and excellent shave! I highly recommend it.

One night I spent a few hours reading reviews about various brushes, prices running from 8.99 to 320.00. Aside from the stipulation that every brush would lose some hair, and that badger is the preferred material for a proper brush. They weren’t much different from one another.The brush I had prior to this one was cheap, and obvious low quality. It was how I came to ejoy shaving for the first time ever. It has been used beyond what had probably been intended.I went into this with rule number 12: Know you’re going to pay for quality, just don’t pay too much. This brush holds that rule true. It wasn’t 10 bucks, but it wasn’t over $50 either, and it has fulfilled my expectations.While I have only used this brush a few times, it has already out performed my former brush. It creates an even and consistent lather; a firm backbone also helps with application. It has some weight to it as well.After using a low quality brush for a while, and seeing “what” quality is supposed to cost and feel like. I believe I’ve done well. And, for the record, it has yet to lose any hair.

I expected it to have softer hairs. It has a good backbone, but a little stiff for a Silvertip! I've purchased less expensive brushes in Amazon with softer badger hairs.

This brush is made very well. It's true it has no terrible smell. I still don't know how they accomplished that. It's soft but has a good backbone. So far it hasn't lost a single hair. It creates a great foam. Only problem is that it doesn't fit in a standard stand. You need to hang it upside down when drying. I was able to make mine stay on the stand but tilted. If you buy this shave brush I suggest you buy the one with the stand and the cup or mug. I would suggest the one with the mug. Is good to whip up a foam in a mug like this one comes with. Look for it on Amazon they have it. It's a good price with or without the mug. I will see if I can find a proper stand for it but for now the way I have it works well enough.PS.they finally got more anbbas stands in look for it on amazon.

Works great. To get maximum use out of it though you'll want a good shave bowl and soap puck. I suggest a ceramic shave bowl with a wide rim (not a little bowl, but a fat one that fans out, like a flower). I've used both a little one and a fat one that fans out, and the one that has the larger diameter creates such a better lather. I've also used this brush with both a cheaper brand puck and a more expensive one, and have seen a huge difference there as well on how much lather I get.If you're going to drop the dough on getting this guy (I've used a cheaper one, this one works better) you might as well do the same on the other items for your shave kit. If you don't you're doing yourself a disservice.

I'll start by saying the brush works fine, the problem is it did not fit my shaving brush stand which I've had for years. For those of you who do not know, you need a stand to properly take care of a decent shaving brush. I suspect my stand would fit most brushes so I was rather surprised to find it did not fit this brush. OK, my stand was old so I figured I'd bite the bullet and buy the stand from the vendor for another $7.99. It is just a cheap piece of plastic which does not fit my razor which I got from Harry's. Every time. I move the stand, the razor falls out. Its just a clumsy setup.I tried hanging my razor from the top of the stand, it drags on the counter. If you hang it as it was designed, the razor being too long falls over from the top.The brush itself was nice, and has some weight to it. I find it creates good lather which I like.

This is a beautiful brush that is exactly what they describe. Silver hair badger is the best shaving brush known to man and this one is exactly that.

This brush is amazing. I’ve been DE shaving for a few years and always used a cheaper badger hair brush that came in a kit. Until now I had no idea what I was missing. I wanted a new brush because I was tired of mine constantly shedding. This brush doesn’t have that problem. The handle has some weight to it and feels high quality. Most of all, it easily creates an amazing lather and feels incredibly soft and comfortable. Even if you’re a beginner I’d say to go ahead and just start with this brush. I wish I had done that.
