Honestly I was skeptical about this purchase as there are a lot of negative reviews. So I wanted to give it a decent amount of time before I left a review. I haven’t had and worn this chain everyday for roughly a month and a half and I must say for the price, I am quite pleased. Sure, this isn’t solid gold or some insane quality gold plating, but for someone like me; who wasn’t sure if I would even like yellow gold jewelry as I’ve always only worn silver, I thought I’d give this a shot. You can see in the video where the plating is already starting to wear on some of the angles of the links, but it is only noticeable if you are looking very closely at it in the right lighting, it still looks great from a distance. I haven’t had a single issue with the clasp durability, it has functioned great since the day I got it. My biggest concern was how thin it is, but I have worn it daily since receiving it and can assure that the thinness of it is fine if you aren’t doing anything crazy with it. I wear it at work, in the gym and just doing your typical everyday things and have not had any concern with it breaking. I actually don’t even mind how thin it is because you practically forget that you’re wearing it. So if you’re like me and are unsure about about whether or not you like yellow gold jewelry and don’t want to spend a ton of money to figure that out, then this is a perfect option!

Good looking chain

I really like the style and low cost of Miabella gold plated chains however I don’t think they are 18k plated. I did an 18k acid test on two areas and both areas tarnished into a copper color. If it was true 18k there should be no reaction. I also tried a 10k acid test and that one did not have a reaction so my assumption is these mite be 10k not the 18k as advertised. To be fair I do have a gold plated rope chain from Miabella and I’ve showered, got in the pool, and sweated with it for over two weeks now with no tarnishing yet. It just so happens to fail the 18k acid test. I hope they test their product and their supplier for the correct Karat classification or change the description to show 10k instead of “18k guaranteed”

This is a very attractive piece of jewelry. The style of link is classic, elegant and understated. Light and perfect weight for a woman. If buying one for a man, I’d go the the heavier version which is available. Purchased this for my wife. She loved it immediately and has been wearing it ever since. Good value. Can’t go wrong with this.
