Manga Storyboard Sketchbook: A Comic Book Sketchbook with Storyboard Layout Grids, Acid-Free Medium-Weight Drawing Comic Book Paper

Bought as a gift for my teenage niece who loves art and all things anime. It was a huge hit!

I have been looking for a good notebook to do thumbnails and page layouts in and have run into the issue of not having enough information to go off of. I took a chance with this one based on the positive reviews and I'm very happy with what I got. The notebook is pretty sturdy, with a nice hardcover and an elastic closure band. The sticker comes off super easy, which is always a plus. I love how the paper feels. It's not super thick, but it's not thin enough that pen is going to just leak through. Somewhere in between mixed media paper and bristol, more towards the former I think, but with a smooth vellum finish.I like how the book includes both small layouts for thumbs/storyboards, and big pages with non-repro/non-photo blue lines. All of the pages are perforated to make for easier scanning. I was so pleased with this notebook, I ordered another one immediately without even having used the first one, because I know I'm going to fill this up immediately.Unfortunately, at the time of writing this review I am unable to add pics. Hopefully I'll be able to edit those in later, but for now I'll try to describe everything. It's 52 pages of storyboard layout grids, 4 per page and on both sides of the paper, with spaces for writing notes under each storyboard box. Then it's 60 pages (single-sided) of the drawing frames with rulers along the side in non-repro blue. Overall, I'm really looking forward to using this notebook and I think it's unbeatable for the price.

For a small format comic such as manga this is simply the best sketchbook possible. The entire book has perforated pages so you can take pages out for scanning or finish art. It has a front section for thumbnail page layouts as well as the rest of the book being formatted for standard comic page layouts. Just an amazing tool for starting a comic. If they had an 11X17 version I would buy several in a heartbeat.

I bought this for my daughter because she loves manga but she hasn’t even touched this item. I figured giving her a creative outlet would be nice but I guess not!

This is absolutely worth more than I paid for it! I am very impressed, it's larger than expected and hard cover. The pages are organized and will be great for a beginner novel. The paper is bit on the thin side and looks as if marker may bleed but the edges are perforated so they can be removed for coloring if you're a marker user like me! I'm really excited to start sketching!

This would be perfect for storyboarding and Manga scripts, which is exactly what I got it for. It's actually somehow bigger than I expected, but that's a plus. The cover is, in fact, a hard cover and the pages are smooth and relatively thick. I think it would handle many mediums with ease so long as you don't soak it it water.

Good book for projects and beginner friendly.Like the layout of thumbnail pages and full pages.

This book is a lot more heavy duty than I thought it would be, it's a really nice book for storyboard building
