I Love You to The Moon and Back Family Tree of Life Floating Charms Memory Locket Necklace with Created Birthstone Gifts for Mom

My husband and I got this as a Christmas gift for my mother-in-law to honor her as a grandmother. We were super excited to receive it... until we received it.Pros:It's beautiful - super shiny.The magnet IS strong.You can choose which face to use (one w/ words engraved around the face or a "rhinestone"-encrusted side).The tree on the inside is reversible so it can be showing depending on which face you choose to go with.You can choose between hearts or circular gems for the birthstones - you get two full sets of 12 months' worth of birthstones each.Cons:It's SUPER cheap. We're talking, feels like plastic in your hands.The "crystals" feel like plastic.The chain we received had obviously been broken in an odd (and obvious) place. The break was "repaired" using a plain piece of wire that in no way resembled the material/look of the chain.The tree on the inside also felt like cheap plastic - I probably could've snapped it if I had tried.All in all, we still gave it to my mother-in-law so we'd have at least something meaningful to give to her for Christmas. You could see the disappointment come into her face as she inspected the various aspects of the necklace. However, we did so apologizing profusely and promising to get her a better quality one sometime in the future if she'd like.You might ask - why two stars? Basically, it's really pretty - almost dazzling. That was enough for my husband and I to give it an extra star. Otherwise it would've been one star for a super cheap, obviously quick, fix that would've barely taken any extra time to add in an extra link or just cut an extra length of the chain.

Update: seller sent me another necklace. This one looked much better. Thank you!This is a very beautiful necklace that I bought as a gift to my daughter. I didn’t look at it close until she opened it Christmas morning. Some of the plating is already coming off. :(

I wanted a gift that would look nice and could also be customized. This pendant necklace included the chain, the locket, the tree with the owl, and plenty of stones to choose from to personalize it. I was in a store and saw something similar for a much higher price and it did not include the chain nor stones. I would highly recommend this necklace as a gift for others or for yourself.

I liked that the stones came in two shapes. I used the hearts for our female offspring and the rounds for the males. Really helps when more than one offspring is born in the same month. My wife received compliments the first time she wore it. She really liked the pendant and the praises she received.

Received this as a Christmas gift and love it. I was surprised at the weight of this charm. Not heavy to the point of being uncomfortable, but has just the proper heft of quality jewelry. Was easy to 'assemble' - adding my choice of gems - and is a new favorite piece that goes well with many wardrobe options.

This is a gift so I’m not able to speak to the durability at this time.I did open the package so I could put the birthstones in the locket ahead of time. It was easy to do. The stones are really cute and the necklace looks very nice. I can’t wait to give it to my mom!

I purchased this item as a gift. Shipping was prompt and the packaging efficient. I was very happy with the item when it arrived. I did "assemble" it, meaning I added the gemstones and owl insert into the necklace/locket piece prior to gifting it. It is absolutely beautiful. It has a nice weight to it, and the chain is a little thicker (compared to most necklaces of this style), but I like that because it means that it will hold up a bit longer than others. Definitely considering buying myself one!

You can certainly tell that this isnt necessarily a high end jewelry item but for the price it is so worth it!The necklace came in perfect condition in a nice little box, the stones and back plate were very easy to add in and the magnetic close on the locket seemed rather sturdy. I recieved both bags with all stones pictured, the reversible locket which includes rhinestones on one side and I love you to the moon and back engraved on the opposite.My mother in law has been wearing this since she recieved it for Christmas and hasn't had an issue yet.
