Wanted this to recharge my solar batteries and supplement power in an emergency. Was particularly looking for Dual Fuel and I keep more propane hanging around than gasoline.It came with the propane regulator, a spark plug wrench (spark plug is pretty far in the case), oil and a funnel (for adding the oil). Funnel is much appreciated as it screws into the oil port and has a o-ring to prevent messes. You will need a 3/4" wrench to snug up the propane regulator to the generator.My first start was using propane, it was tricky and took about 20 pulls until I figured it out. After that learning experience it would take me about 5-6 pulls to get it going on propane. Read some of the other reviews that talk about it. Still seemed easier than many of those reviews.It has a 1 gallon gas tank in it, and it is a plastic tank (yes, no rust). Starts very easy using gasoline, 2-3 pulls.Eco-mode varies the speed to the load, it works but seems it is louder when running slower. But I still like this feature.Overall it is very quiet for a generator, and you could probably add an after market muffler to the current exhaust and it would be much quieter. But don't take that wrong, this is very quiet running.Super easy to move around or toss into the bed of a pickup. Handle is great and it is fairly light.Inverter runs well, load tested it with heat gun and shop vac (about 1,400Watts). Also ran my computer with it and it ran beautifully even though it is not rated as a Pure Sine wave inverter it worked flawlessly. Unfortunately I didn't check the voltage at various loads so I can't attest to its voltage stability... it just worked.Manual says it had a 12V battery charger, but that is simply Not true. Version I had did not have to connections on the panel. But a USB port is there and works as advertised.Overall excellent, true hand-carry portable generator at a great price.

Excellent directions, Very easy to operate and use both propane and gasoline. Ran smooth and quiet for 5 hours. Oil change was an easy. Only complaint: I wish they included two bottles of oil. One for the initial 5-hour break-in and the second for follow up use.

Honda portable inverter generators provide excellent clean pure sine wave power with tight frequency regulation that I needed for sensitive equipment but I wanted one that runs on propane. I came across Pulsar as one of the few propane portable inverter generators but I was not sure it would meet requirements. So, I called Pulsar customer service and asked them specific questions to confirm info not in their standard docs and I was pleasantly surprised that they worked with their factory team to get the info promptly and confirmed my requirements would be met. Based on the confirmation, I bought one to try. To my relief, I found It generates the clean pure sine wave power I needed. Attached photos show the power output with no load and under full rated load (charging EV) with little distortion running on propane. The power quality is as good as the Honda inverter generators I have used. The build quality is also good. The maximum load handling seems to be even a bit better than Honda. I do find it's a bit louder than Honda but still in similar range. The documentation is not as good as Honda but has enough of the basics. I found the difficulty of starting on propane not as bad as some have reported but definitely not great. The engine seems to be tuned for gasoline so it does not start as easily on propane especially when you pump the demand regulator too much making the fuel mix too rich to ignite. For starting on propane, I find the review from "Jim" most helpful. Using the provided short propane hose, it best to turn on the propane tank and engine switch with choke rod pushed in then DON'T pump the demand regulator at all then pull the starter cord in quick succession (i.e. don't let the rotor stop). It now takes me usually 1-2 pulls to start on propane doing so. The only other thing I miss is an overload reset button instead of having to restart the generator. It's too early to say anything about durability but overall I think it's a great value so far with some room for incremental improvement and I would recommend it for consideration to anyone looking for a compact propane inverter generator.

I was looking at this generator for almost a year before I finally bought it. Previously, I had a larger, on-wheels, dual fuel generator but it was heavy and difficult to load for camping power purposes. This Pulsar unit hits the nail on the head. Not only is it dual-fuel, but it has enough power to do the most important tasks at home for a power outage. Plus you can move it around without any trouble, which makes it easier for camping. It hits the center of the target, as they say. I will always run it on propane though, not gasoline, because it is easier to store and transport propane tanks than it is to pack around gas cans. My price on this unit was $400 with a $20 coupon. If you can do the same, or even close to that, I advise you to buy one if you need portable power. Fully satisfied with this purchase.

We purchased this generator new as described in the ad. It arrived damaged and has clearly been used. The cover was off, screws were stripped and overall showing signs of wear and tear.
