I'm living in Chicago. If you don't know how cold the winter here is, look it up on Google. Images will tell you.This Scarf is enough to withstand the cold of -20 (which happened in Feb 2018). It provided sufficient protection again the cold on my neck. I didn't stay too long outside in that weather though. I do use this scarf through out January and February here in Chicago, and I can feel the difference between with and without this scarf. I think this scarf is fine to use in area less cold than Chicago, so don't let that hold you back.This scarf is thick and heavy, It provides comfortable and soft feeling though.Overall this is a nice one, the thickness can be a cons and pros, depend on each person.

I will say this scarf is nice, very soft, and warm. My only contention with it is the black and navy color is not exactly misleading per say but unusual. One side is black and the other side is navy. That’s my reason for the 4 stars rather than 5. It’s great quality for sure and very reasonable in price.

I don't know how Martha Stewart would rate this scarf, but it keeps me warm and looks good enough for my taste.

I have a few scarves, but in standing outside in the cold, was getting tired of the 'bulk' and all the 'fancy fringe' and such - especially when it got caught in zippers. I went on the search for a simple, soft, basic scarf that would keep me warm. Sadly, I had to look at men's scarves as apparently it's assumed women only want fringe, tassles and/or 'shawl-like' scarves. That said, this scarf was perfect! It's exactly what I was hoping for, super soft and very warm. This has been my go-to scarf and I will likely not only purchase another, but am considering gifting my other scarves to those more in need.

Hard to wear, too long.
