We have used Lipiderm for our last four dogs and really love what it does for them. The second dog was a Yorkie that as an adult had bad skin problems. I had to take her to the Vet every other month it got so bad and she was always getting meds for it. My Vet advised me to give her Lipiderm , so I did and it worked so well that the Vet didn't need to see her but for her twice a year appointments and she was on it the rest of her sixteen and a half years. Our fourth dog was a seven year old rescued Golden Retriever who came to us with her golden hair in very bad shape. Not soft like a Golden's should be and not much of it. We started her on it the first day we adopted her and within a month it started looking like our third dog, also a Golden who has some of the most beautiful hair of any golden we'd seen. She lived 13 years, 8 months and the hair and skin stayed healthy. We can't say enough about Lipiderm!Barbara BlanchardTampa,Florida

Absolutely love this stuff. We have a Bouvier des Flandres and her coat can get kind of stinky and dry. We began giving her a pill with each meal (two a day) and now two months later, she is soft and no longer smelly. I just put a pill in with her normal food and she eats it right up.Update: We ran out over the summer and I began giving her one of my husbands fish oil capsules, thinking it would do the same thing. About 5 weeks ago our dog started scratching and licking and biting, I thought maybe she had picked up fleas somewhere, but never found any on her. Finally 2 weeks ago I ordered more Lipiderm wondering if that could make a difference. Well thank goodness for 2 day shipping, because a 1 1/2 weeks later and she is back to normal, no more licking and scratching!!! I have learned my lesson and will not be without this again. I just ordered another bottle (because the price fluctuates so much and it's cheaper right now)!

Our dog had dry skin problems. She was always biting at herself. With use of fish oil that has ceased, and everyone comments on what a beautiful coat she has. I have read other reviews about the difficulty of giving a large capsule to a dog, but I dip the capsule in cream cheese and she looks forward to taking it. I gave it four stars instead of five because I am not sure the advantage of Lipiderm opposed to ordinary omega 3,6, but it also contains Vitamins A and E.

The product was recommended by theBreeder to help with cavalier King Charles skin issues.First try caused diarrhea which stopped after I stopped it.The Second try it caused vomiting.So will go in the trashI see reviews about the capsules that were good but the new formula the soft chews caused digestive issues.Just be aware

I used to give this in liquid form to my dogs years ago (don't think they had tablets back then) but somewhere along the line I stopped. When I ran across the tablets on Amazon a couple of months ago, I ordered them. Now I could kick myself for ever stopping using this! What a difference in my 10 year old Bulldog's coat. He always had a shiny coat, but he shed all year and had dandruff---embarrassing when people would pet him and have hair coming off all over. (And what a mess he left on the exam table at the vet!) Now when I brush him I don't have to keep stopping to remove mats of hair off the brush---hardly anything on it to clean off when I'm done. And hardly any dandruff either. Just a soft and shiny healthy looking coat. I'm still amazed at how well and quickly these have worked and needless to say I'll never stop using these again. I recommend them to any owner who has a shedding/dandruff problem with their dogs. .

This is my second purchase since my dog's dandruff and itching have subsided. The reason for just 3 stars is this bottle came with most of the gel caps stuck together! I had to cut open the container with a box cutter to get the whole big clump out. When I tried separating them, a few were inadvertently opened, leaking stinky fish oil. I left them overnight in the refrigerator, still could not pry them loose. I left them at room temperature, that made a bigger mess. So now I have them in the freezer to see if I can salvage them. They did not sit out in the heat when delivered. I hope I can get a new bottle from the company if all else fails...

Well, there isn't really much to say about it. It says it's stops excessive shedding and that seems to be what it does. I'm only putting down this review because it works not only with my dog but my mom's friend's as well. My dog has serious allergies and it seems like anything will get her to lose hair. However, when she is not being allergic (yes, sometimes she actually is normal), this stops her from shedding. My mom's friend's dog is very healthy except for constant shedding. Since his hair is black and their carpet is white they had to vacuum pretty often. After they tried this (we gave them two bottles) they were relieved of vacuuming every other day. They too swear by it now. And for the skeptic, three different vets I went to for my dog's allergies said this is a good thing. I do however wonder, how did dogs live without supplements in the old days?
