They weren't lying, it took 6 breaths to inflate. Seconds to deflate. Small enough for an airline seat, Perfect to lean forward to sleep or watch a video on my phone.One complaint - the cutout at chin level is HUGELY uncomfortable. Within 3 minutes I could feel the edge slicing into my jaw. This would never work for a long flight. I think solved the problem with a microfiber cloth, which I will bring with me. But this is an unfortunate design flaw. Also a bit uncomfortable if you wear glasses.

Bought for a trip to Hawaii. Used it on the plane and it worked well for the flight there. It is awkward and silly looking and I could not sleep per se, but was more comfortable using it. Packed it and then used it on the way back which is where things turned worse. When I boarded it held air fine but I must have put too much weight on it trying to lay down across a couple seats on it and it started leaking. After searching, I found it had the tiniest little hole that I’m pretty sure did not get made by me poking it with anything. I would have thought if I overloaded it, a seam would have popped but it wasn’t a seam. Did not hold air long enough to be useful with even head weight on it so it got returned.I guess be gently with it and it might be a good option for long flights if you don’t mind looking silly like I did!

I rarely bother to write product reviews, but I appreciated this so much I wanted to share. I've never been able to sleep much on (even really long) flights. But this pillow enabled me to sleep on a 14 hour flight -- which is priceless. It's SO worth it. It will be coming with me on all my long flights.Is it perfect? No -- there are little things that could be better -- but honestly, how much can one reasonably expect from an inexpensive, inflatable pillow? For what it is, it's GREAT. Sure, it smells like plastic, and I wish it was 2 inches taller. But it's easy to inflate/deflate, inexpensive, and reasonably comfy...and in the end, all that really matters is IT ENABLED ME TO SLEEP!

Sorry Amazon, this just didn’t work. It flops around too much to be effective. It smells awful. It’s uncomfortable on my face. And it’s one more thing to lug around on a trip and find a place to store at home. Still looking for a way to relax on long flights, but this isn’t it.

I my goodness, what a game changer. We got them for a trip from Florida to Seattle and back for an Alaska cruise. We used them on all of the flights and they were amazing. Compact to carry and perfect size once inflated. Great product.

It's not exactly comfortable to put your face in the hole. You may feel like a newborn attempting to extract from the womb on your next flight if you actually sleep like that. But, it's a pillow, and it works.The smell is indeed funky so just make sure you blow it up awhile and use it before going.
