Q: Is this dp+dp version really capable of displaying 5k for two monitors at the same time? it even says 4k on it, so im a little sceptical?

It supports resolution up to 5Kp60 ( 1x 5120x2880p60 or 2x5120x1440p60) for both DP display(5K tested monitors model: Dell U4919DW; Samsung: C49RG90SSU).

Q: (hdmi + hdmi) does this require any software (other than dislplay link drriver) to operate? will it stream netflix / hulu, etc to 2 4k tvs?

Only install the DisplayLink driver for working, and support Netflix/ Hulu, etc. to 2 4K TVs, but only from computer, not Android devices. (Note: if use Chrome, go into Chrome Settings. Search for "hardware". Disable "Use hardware acceleration when available" and restart chrome.)

Q: Every time laptop goes to sleep or stand by, I have to unplug/plug the adapter to get it to work. Is there a work around?

What adapter? Power supply? Auxiliary monitor output (VGA, HDMI, DVI)? Wireless mouse or keyboard?

Q: In the specification hdcp is supported, but there are questions and comments about unable to watch videos/netflix and some workaround is required.why?

Some copyrighted material doesn’t play well with the synaptics drivers. I watch appletv and Hulu with no issues. DirectTV, Netflix and HBOMax won’t play with my setup.
